The bags will soon be gone - we still have Christmas presents to exchange and are doing this on Saturday! The boxes...still have items in them that need swapping with some of the things we have already but the ones from the caravan are better and we are slowly getting that done!
In my craft room I have to admit that I have a problem...its scraps - boxes of them ...I threw some away but having looked in some of the boxes I know I could use most of them...one day...! What would happen if I didn't have them? Nothing! Would I miss them? Probably not...so I have a problem, there, it's out in the open....what next??
I did start a new junk journal! I used some papers that I had at the caravan and lots of scraps have started to be stuck onto pages..
Bits of wrapping paper, lots of leftover master boards even and paper bag that makes this last page!
I'd like to enter at Art Journal Journey for Jo's 'Something New' theme although of course my new journal is full of old stuff!!

We also managed a short walk the other day..and a break from sorting!
You may remember a couple of years ago we went to the Christmas Winter Garden to see the lights - when we visited Dunham this time it was daylight but it was interesting to see anyway!

What a super new junk journal! I love how you layered the pieces together on your pages and the robin caught my eye, it looks perfect 😊. I have the same problem, I can't throw anything away either and need to have a sort out as things are getting out of control. So far this year I've been more ruthless when creating pages by trying to make sure my scraps are worth keeping. Super junk journal Chris! And collaging on the pages is a great way to use up those scraps sitting in the boxes;) Beautiful winter garden visit. The lights are lovely even during the day so I can only imagine lit up at night. Hey hubby, we love your smilin' face , so keep at it:):) Happy T day!

That is a great idea Chris to make a junk journal. I think I need to do that also.I just have a few Christmas boxes around and they are driving me nuts, and that is only for a week, and so I bet you are nuts with all the boxes around and for longer than a week. Your scraps are a LOT better than my scraps, dear. Or maybe (probably) the way you used the scraps in your junk journal.The compositions are all fabulous and I would love to be able to see these beauties the way you see them.
Your walk was amazing. It reminded me of Christmas at Kew that Helen has been showing. Of course, those snowdrops (which I've only ever seen in photos) were amazing, as were the sculptures.
T finally cracked a smile. Actually, he looks like he's laughing. Thank him for brightening my day at T this Tuesday (except now it's Wednesday).

I think artists/crafters all have a problem with too much stuff/scrap. You're not alone, if that's any comfort. The gardens are just gorgeous even without the lights. I'd love to have the snowdrops lining my front walk. Happy T Day!

Seeing the Christmas Winter Garden without the lights was very interesting. You can see exacttly how they created the amazing light show. I love the life size toy soldiers.

Oh the joys of owning two homes. I remember all that when I closed my van up in Wales and now we have bought another up country and had to buy new stuff to fill it. Luckily we had the crockery left over so some things we were ok with. What a shame you left as we bought - we could have met up up there for a cake and coffee.
Like the way you have used some of your stash for your pages, you are awfully good at putting things together like that and you have some lovely work there.
Pity I didn't know about Dunham Massey being decorated like that - we've missed out again!

Fabulous scrappy pages in your junk journal - it looks wonderful. Maybe that's something I should do as part of my packing up/sorting of the craft room in preparation for moving. There are bound to be scraps I can't bear to throw away, but it seems ludicrous to ship boxes of scraps across Europe!!
Interesting to see the Christmas lights unlit - they add such cool sculptural details to the trees and plants.
