Paris…..the craft version

Last week at this time we were in Paris, the sun was shining and I was indoors!!
We had arrived by this little train - which was waiting at the Metro Station…..
 …to take us here!
We saw this peacock on our walk through the park.

There was a security check at the gate…once in there was so much to see, so many tempting treats….

…and some familiar faces…

 Lauren being shy!
Leandra smiling for Helen….although she does smile a lot anyway…except when she is concentrating…...
……….on making some fabulous examples!
Azoline was creating some lovely art on the Carabelle Studio stand too!
I found Tracy Evans's fabulous brand-new stamps on sale here.
There was also a cake show adjoining the craft area
While I was enjoying Version Scrap hubby went off around the park(I will show you his photos another time - I want to go back to see the park of course- maybe the same time next year???)
He came back couple of times - caught me checking my phone for his message saying he was on his way!!!
Eventually it was time to leave - via the little train
Oh! I suppose you would like to see what I bought????

Ooh Look!! No Paper Artsy stuff…….just as well I am going to Happy Stampers next week!!!!

The show was much better than last year - much more space between stands and a higher ceiling and of course no poorly hubby - Thank Goodness!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Paris - a magical place….

I am joining in at Art Journal Journey again - Hazel of Hazel's Creative Moments has the fabulous theme of 'Magical Mystery Tour'
The place for me is Paris……..still, after so many visits my magical place - something new every time we visit!
I used Oxides to begin with then lots of random stamping, stencilling and doodling. The Arc de Triomphe came from a very old sticker set. The words are from Paper Artsy sets.

These are quite big things though - La Grande Arche and Miro's giant statues and we have been here before - it is one of my favourite places in Paris - the reflections from the modern buildings fascinate me!

Lots of little treasures in Paris too though! We enjoyed exploring some new places!

The view from our hotel window provided some interesting reflections!
There will be more street art to come!
These rabbits on leads at Parc de Belleville!
Beautiful buildings

This was close to our hotel - we couldn't get in last year
When we changed Metro lines at Gare de Lyon - a tropical garden behind the platform

T Stands for ………..

tired, which is why I am only just getting around to sharing any photos our Paris trip…….
…...or for joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands For Tuesday - we were up quite late last night - couldn't resist watching the latest episode of 'Line of Duty' which we had recorded - of course this morning we slept in, despite the unpacking, washing and shopping to be done!!!
I am going to start by showing you photos from Sunday, which was Hubby's birthday - he is officially  a pensioner now!
We started the day by a visit to the Flea Market we missed last year, we thought it strange that something so widely publicised looked like a market….
….until we saw the sign pointing to the right direction - unfortunately I was so busy looking on the stalls that I forgot to take photos!
From here we caught the tram to Parc Montsouris - you may remember I loved this park the first time we visited in June 2015.

The RER track runs right through the middle of the park
We took different route than last time.
Then it was time for lunch(or rather brunch!)
We caught the Metro to Les Halles and walked up a road to the side.
We came across le Compass - offering a very interesting sounding Brunch

The drinks came as part of the meal, Hubby had a carrot juice while I had orange - we both had a coffee.
I had started eating when I remembered to take a photo - there is also a basket of bread on the table at the left.On our plates - a salmon mixture, which neither of us really liked so it didn't all get eaten, scrambled eggs and bacon, hash brown, brie, caesar salad, fresh fruit salad and a syrup pancake - good job we were doing lots of walking!
The inside was old industrial style..

When we came out there was a small dance troupe
We set off for a walk…just a few of the things we saw on the way.

Lots of roads are closed to traffic on Sundays.

This was one of my most exciting moments - years ago we used to love being in Paris to watch the Friday night Paris Roller. It seems it now takes place on Sundays too!
Our last destination before heading to the hotel was to find the Vertical Garden - created by Patrick Blanc on Quai Branly - it was more difficult to find than we expected because the road name was misleading!
We finished with a picnic we had bought back in the Mairie sitting on a bench with a view of the sun on the Eiffel Tower!

Hoping you haven't nodded off, as I am …I hope you don't mind if I don't visit until tomorrow!
