T Stands for.......Tasty!

Hi everyone, we're going out again, somewhere familiar but beautiful.

We have been having regular outings lately, one when we go for our Click and Collect grocery order and then another 2 or 3 days later.

We both have taken far to many photos of the places we have been so I really must try to fit in another post in the week!

This was our second outing of the week, even though it is the closest to home - we had a plan!!!

Quarry Bank Mill can be reached via the woods by the village I showed you last week, although on this occasion we had booked in for the Gardens and parked in the Car park.

The Greenhouses have been opened up

There's still a rope across this one though

The Sweet Peas are growing well and smell fabulous

The Peonies and Poppies look great but I had come to see the Irises before they finished - some are almost over so pleased we got here in time!

The falling Rhododendron blossoms make a great carpet

We stopped for a while as our favourite bench was vacant....

...but then it was time to head off to Notcutts Garden Centre restaurant.

We had been looking forward to this for a while...

Fish, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. Not only did we eat it all but we shared a mint choc chip sundae. We were brought an extra glass and spoon!
We also, as you can see had water and coffee to drink!
I must say, the rest of the afternoon was taken at a leisurely pace!!

Hubby is teasing here and saying he isn't going to share.
It is here of course that I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands for Tuesday!
I'll be back with our latest Wanderlust pages very soon.

Thanks for looking, Chris

My irises died over a month ago and my day lilies are just about gone, too. I really miss seeing beautiful peonies since the guy killed mine when he put in the fence. You took some amazing photos and the area is beautifully landscaped.

What a great looking meal. Fish, chips. and mushy peas. You and Lisca have me very hungry for that meal this week. I confess, I like your coffees and dessert, too, because I don't care for alcohol most of the time (Lisca had hard cider with her fish and chips).

Thanks for taking us with you to Quarry Bank Mill and for sharing your fish and chips, along with your coffees and chocolate mint sundae with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.

All those flowers are amazing. I think my favorites are the sweet pea and the irises. What a wonderful variety of colors they have. So glad you took us on a tour of the gardens.
Your meal and hubby's dessert looks delicious!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Haha, snap! Fish and chips ! Yours look great too. And that dessert...mmmm....
The flowers in the gardens are incredibly beautiful. What a privilege to live so close to that park. I have probably mentioned before that we have been several times when we had our NT membership as my sister lives in the area. We haven't been able to visit her recently of course and now she is in Spain.
I love sweet peas. I wish they would grow here, but I think it is too hot.
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

Fabulous outing. The flowers are just gorgeous and the greenhouse would make Himself's heart go pit-a-pat. Though I love fish and chips (have never had mushy peas), the sundae is making my mouth water. Happy T Day

Hi Chris,
THanks for your visit, another outing with gorgeous photos, sweet peas, I haven’t seen any for years, it’s too hot here for such delicate flowers.
Cant beat fish and chips and mushy peas, it’s too hot here to eat them so it will be autumn before we taste them again, unless of course we finally get to England to visit the family.
Have a great weekend, happy belated T Day
