T Stands for ...The Most Amazing Gardens

Hi everyone, I'm still trying to catch up with blogs and don't feel good about posting on my own blog when I can't get comments done!

I am however, showing my latest page which is not just for for Art Journal Journey and Mia's Butterflies theme, but to wish all at Country View Craft Challenges a Happy '100 Challenges'

I made this in several stages - grabbing moments when I could!!

The main part of this post is to show you some pics from Bodnant Gardens in Wales.

On our garden walks we have had casual chats with several folk who have told us about Bodnant - I had heard of it, but as it is quite a drive away never considered it. However, when a friend mentioned it out of the blue we finally made the decision go last week.

The drive took us around an hour and a half through some lovely scenery.

Bodnant is famed for it's Laburnum Arch and although we were a little late visiting it looks wonderful. Next year we will try to go in early June when it is full of yellow flowers

Looking through the leaves we saw this view - the mountains were still covered in mist.
The end of the arch from the outside

This huge clump of shaking grass fascinated me. Sorry it's not a good pic!

I went inside this tree to get a good shot of the twisted branches.
I surprised hubby when I called him!

First time past this pond

There are quite few steps and steep inclines at Bodnant

Not a very good photo of the waterfall
Hubby got a better shot

We were going to have a coffee and scone here but they had run out of scones.I am still going  to join Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T stands For Tuesday here as I totally forgot to take a photo of our coffee and scone that we eventually got at another cafe on the site! Plenty of folk here with drinks

On the way back we went down into the pond area

The way out!
I finally found some Dill for the herb tray at the Garden Centre!

I'll be back very soon for a CLOSER look at Bodnant (wink)

Thanks for looking, Chris

Hi Chris-gorgeous grounds and gardens-am so glad you shared all the photos with us.
sometimes when I get way behind I just apologize and begin again with commenting on new posts-sometimes we just don't have enough time for everything we want to do.
Happy T-hugs Kathy

That looks like a lovely garden with many picturesque views laid out intentionally so that it can be photographed. Or maybe, before everyone had a camera, laid out carefully so that it could be sketched from a variety of angles. I enjoyed your photos.

First of all...don't let lack of commenting keep you from posting. I used to think that way as well. But in reality it's not a tit for tat thing. Blogging is for you and if you enjoy it and it brings you joy then do it for YOU! *stepping off my soapbox*
Gorgeous photos...I am in love with the tree archway. Its like a dream.
Happy Tday

Lovely journal page , and oh my, England does have THE most beautiful gardens!!! How I wish we had some like it where I live. Thanks for giving me a chairside view -oh, and, speaking of chair side- are you watching the Tour de France at all? They have begun in my favorite area- Bretagne- where some of my family lived for years. And this year they are going into the town I was born and where most all the family live now- in Chateauroux.
Happy T day!

Wow, Bodnant Gardens are lovely! I have never been, but as you say, well worth the travelling.
Nearly all your photos got a 'wow' out of me.
A shame they didn't have scones. Fancy running out of scones! That's no good at all!
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

Glad you got your dill. :)

OH WOW. Bodnant Gardens are beautiful. Unfortunately, they are not very disabled friendly. I feel sorry for anyone in a wheelchair who would want to visit. I was sure impressed with the arch, and the way the area was laid out. Looked like there were lots of places to sit while there, at least. I loved how the pathway sort of wanders through the lush areas.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful shots and the people with their drinks for T this Tuesday.

The journal page is beautiful. I bet you even counted the number of butterflies (NOT). Thanks for another great entry using Mia's theme at Art Journal Journey.

imo your own blog should come first with comments elsewhere when you can. Blogging should be a no-guilt hobby :) (like Halle said :) I see her comment now.)

I'm watching the Euros right now, and the Wales team has been on my tv screen some. That garden looks worth the drive. The scenic views and the landscaping must take a lot of time and effort to maintain. Gorgeous!

Happy T Tuesday

What a beautiful trip to the gardens. I think my favorite photo is of the trees with their weeping limbs lining the road. And I also love misty mountains. Everything was gorgeous, thank you for taking us along.

Nice butterfly page and 100 page together Chris! And that garden was worth the drive. Wow. It is amazingly beautiful. The arch must be amazing when fully in bloom because it is amazing not in bloom. And there was even a waterfall. Wow. Hope it was a happy T day. Hugs-Erika

Hi Chris,

what lovely garden photos! I really enjoyed looking at them. I think you are my partner for the ATC swap hosted by Elizabeth. So if that's correct, would you contact me via my blogger profile. There's a link to my emal address. Hope that works. Looking forward!

2 gorgeous pages, Chris. I am in love with both of your backgrounds but the green one is delightfully delicate. And what garden eye candy! I could stare at that arch shot for hours! The entrance to our subdivision is a street lined with a canopy of old oak trees that have grown together overhead and kept trimmed that way, and it always calms us down driving under it. xoxo
