I can hardly believe it's June already......nearly half year...GONE! Hey Ho!!
Last Tuesday we went shopping - early and hardly anyone about in the shopping mall we went to. Sadly came away with nothing more than a plan!
So, on Thursday we were up early again and drove up the motorway to Morecambe.
The first thing we saw when got out of our car were the seagulls sitting in the sun on top of the supermarket
Our first stop was to be the Midland Hotel - it used to be one of favourite places to go for coffee when we had our caravan in Carnforth.
I had an Americano and hubby had a Cafe Mocha - I had requested milk for my coffee. Hot drinks at the Midland Hotel always arrive with packs of biscuits - you can see one here - one biscuit was enough for us so the other packet went into my handbag - you will probably see it another day.
I am of course joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands For Tuesday.
As you can see it was quite busy, but the tables were a good distance apart. The fairground has been set up for the Bank Holiday
This was the reason for our visit - a visit to Briggs Shoes. On Tuesday I had tried to buy the trainers I wanted, they were no longer available so hubby suggested we try this shop, as we used to buy all our shoes there when we had our caravan.
So, two pairs of shoes later we headed to Hest Bank.
As we ate our picnic we watched the tide going out and afterwards had a short walk before returning home.
Photos are mainly mine with a few close ups by hubby.
It had been a lovely day with a little bit of sunshine and a sea breeze.
Just to show you that we haven't abandoned some of favourite places, here are a few of The Parsonage and Fletcher Moss where we visited early on Friday morning while it was quiet!

Such gorgeous views! I keep scrolling back up to look again :) Happy T Tuesday
That looks very idyllic, with the flowers and the beaches. Very few people appear to be out and about.

beauty, freshness, thank you for the pics of it!
Beautiful photos Chris-I really enjoyed all of them-such pretty views-and I loved seeing the birds-funny seeing all of those on the roof.
It must have been special visiting this area again-glad you found your shoes and so happy you were able to get out and about to visit these views-nature is so good for us Happy T wishes hugs Kathy
Oh, I really enjoyed the outing to the beach! Beautiful views. The gardens are always nice, but there's something about being at the ocean. The tang of the salt air, watching the waves, walks along the beach. Loved all the seagulls sitting on top of the supermarket, too. Happy T Day
Sorry I'm late visiting. Blogger is making my life miserable again. Seems up to now I've been unable to access blogger blogs, but can WordPress and TypePad.
I always love it when you take us to Morecambe. I knew immediately when I saw the hotel, which you have shown in the past. It was great to see you headed to the beach and of course to visit some of the gardens you loved when you had your caravan. So glad you got the shoes of your choice on that shopping trip. I have to ask what "trainers" are. I'm sure it's your word for something in English (grin). Like cookies for biscuits.
Speaking of biscuits, T looks so happy and patient with you as you photographed your Americano and his Cafe Mocha. Thanks for sharing your incredible photos of Morecambe and the beach, as well as the gardens, and your drinks with us for T this Tuesday.
Great photos Chris, as usual, I always loved the seaside when it was quiet, sometimes we would go in January just for a day out and fish and chips if we found a chippy open of course. I was expecting to see our Eric, isn’t his statue in Morecambe? LOL
Just read Elizabeth’s comment above about trainers, I thought she may not know that they are sneakers! I have to remember all these words with having American GSs!
Love the giant coffee your DH had, we always used to be given biscuits with our coffee over here but now there’s only one cafe that still does it.
Have a lovely week Chris

Wonderful photos, Chris, thanks for sharing. Morecambe is a wonderful place, always loved a da out there. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
Very nice outing you had! The seaside grounds look so well-maintained, almost new. Dry-docked boats made me look twice, you never see that here, they are either docked in the water or at people's homes in their driveways, lol. xoxo
Wonderful shots. Thank you for sharing them.
Wonderful photos Chris! Looks like a great day out! xx
The beach looks lovely Chris. Like a good place to visit on a nice day. I like how there is lots of wild land and not houses lining the beach. And being able to visit is a great thing, isn't it? And of course the gardens are lovely too. The colors there are amazing. Hope you had a super T day. Hugs-Erika
It must be lovely to be out again after all that time. These are lovely photos. I spent some time in Grange with my son's mother in law - she had a caravan there - and our shared granddaughter. Mum and Dad also had a caravan in Heysham when I was younger, so we used to spend quite a lot of time up there. Sea and countryside, the perfect blend.
