T Stands For...The Old Town Of Angers

 Hi everyone, we have had a couple of sunny days, not that I have seen much of it as I am in the middle of 'the big throw out'!

The easy bit has been done - things I definitely wanted to throw - I have now reached the 'Shall I keep this?' part.

We did manage a short walk this morning before doing our food shop but I promised pics of Angers old town last week so here they are

As in many old French towns there is a route marked to help you find your way (Poitiers has three different coloured routes) so we did just that as the castle we visited was on the line also.

I wish I had taken a photograph of these shutters from a different angle - they would make a great background

The blue line led us to Place St Croix and this beautiful building known as Adam's House but now has fabulous displays for the shop there

Just around the corner we saw this art shop - erm, yes we did treat ourselves!

To end our day we went back to place we had spotted by the tram stop back to our B and B - a creperie.

If we had know how big our Galettes(savoury pancakes)would be we would have shared - as it was we couldn't finish them and there was certainly no room for sweet pancake.

We had water to drink as well as a tonic water for me and a cola for hubby. I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands For Tuesday, where the entry requirements are - show your drink! 

Our final day next week, the journey to Cherbourg and the ferry.
