Inertia...almost!!!

Hi everyone! The only plans I have been making lately have been to do with food.

I filled in the last day of April in my calendar journal and realised I had not got anything ready for May and with one thing and another, including to talking to all three of my boys and a couple of lonely neighbours on the phone Friday passed all too quickly!
I must say that one of the conversations was with my youngest who brought me some specialist items(one from his own store cupboard)and  we stood talking while he was on our walkway for nearly two hours!

Yesterday was food delivery day so before they arrived in the afternoon I made a lunch of bits and pieces leftover from last week so we would have storage room - strangely a huge success!

By the time we had put everything away I only had energy for very simple pages for May.
Distress Oxide inks pressed onto an acrylic block and lightly spritzed and pressed over a spritzed page! A bit of dabbing, spritzing and drying before adding more ink through a new stencil!
I used my new Aall and Create flowers by Olga Heldwein.
Can you tell I wrote 'May' myself?
I am joining Mia at Art Journal Journey with her theme 'Flowers'
Here is last months filled in

I am definitely going to have a plan this month to get into my craft room more....and do something! A lot of my time in there recently  seems to have been going in shuffling things around and coming out again! Yes, I need a plan!!!

Thanks for looking, Chris

I think this is a fabulous May calendar, Chris. You always put mine to shame, so what can I say? You may think this is simple, but you put a lot more into it than I put in mine. I absolutely LOVE it and it fits well with Mia's theme at Art Journal Journey, too.

LOVED seeing your April calendar all filled out. Seems we are all thinking about our current state of lock down and how it affects each of us in different ways.

Hi Chris-I love your May calendar pages-very pretty I love it.
Last week was bad for me-couldn't get into anything productive-well except for taking care of my husband you had an accident and fractured his pelvis I hope to get more accomplished this coming week-

I've done a lot of food planning too, as well as watching tv. I think it is hard to get inspired being a bit preoccupied with this virus, at least for me. Love both of your calendars. May doesn't look too simple to me. Happy new month Chris. hugs-Erika

Isn't it strange how, despite having all this time, there never seems to be a whole lot to spare?! I think it is partly that the everyday things seem to take a lot longer (sorting the shopping into what stays here and what goes next door to 102-yr old Rose, and wiping it all, of course, before it comes over the threshold, for instance) but also that conversations, when we have them, tend to spread out too. Lovely that you were able to have a long time chatting with your son whilst both staying safe.

I think your May pages are really pretty - those white starry flowers across the top look wonderful... and there's really no need for crafty complications when life is throwing up plenty of those anyway.

For not planning as long your May spread still looks so wonderful! The same thing happened to me in my bullet. I didn't realize until last day in April that I hadn't finished setting up May! I went very simple and want to take more time to do a nice font next time for headers in June. Have a super week! :)

They are fabulous calendar pages Chris , beautiful floral stamps and I loved the colours you used. Thank you for linking to Mia's theme at Art Journal Journey.
I can understand your thinking on how the days go by and where did they go. Our youngest stops for a distance conversation as well when he brings over our additional food supplies and I think we have been lucky so far to get a store delivery.
Stay safe and well.
