T Stands For - tag...and treats in Budapest!

First my tag, as I may go on a bit and if you have only come to see my tag you need read no further!!
While I had my leaf stamps out (see here)I decided to make a tag! I haven't made a tag for a while but some challenges were calling me!!
It began the almost the same way as my calendar pages, except I used Distress Inks to start with before stamping the Lin Brown leaves
I used Brushed Corduroy DI around the edge of the tag, then added some fussy cut leaves. I used some sari ribbon, having 'found' it during a tidy, and added some little Woodware leaves. I stamped the little tag using a Woodware stamp from the leaf set and then spattered everything with bronze paint - I do love spattering (in case you hadn't guessed!

I am entering my tag at :-

Now back to Budapest - I got my days mixed up last week and the Baths trip was on our second full day but never mind - I can go back to that another time!
After we had eaten our mediocre lunch here we set off through the park - not heading anywhere in particular - you know we like parks!

The lake is huge!
We walked past a long row of painted seats - these were two of my favourites

Over a busy road (but still in City Park) to Vajdahunyad castle - which is not a real castle but built in several architectural styles in the 1800s

I sat by this rather forboding statue of 'Anonymous'
We continued around the park....

As I am here to join Bluebeard and Elizabeth for T Stands for Tuesday I will take you to Varosliget where we had the best cup of of coffee - at least of the whole trip - if not ever!!

It arrived with a biscuit but we also ordered an ice-cream sundae - it was so hot during our visit and with the walking we were doing, and the water I was drinking too, my blood sugar levels were pretty good - it was great to have a treat!
It was a pleasant place to sit and if ever we go back we will have our lunch here as it wasn't so far from Szechenyi baths or Heroes Square where we went next...

We didn't get a chance to go any further as it was fenced off preparing for an event!
We cut across and walked back to our hotel along Andrassy Utca looking at the grand houses!

We kept resting along the way as there were benches, but our feet still ached!!
I will try to get another post about where we went next in Budapest later this week!

Thanks for looking, Chris

I always love traveling along with the two of you. It makes me feel like I'm there, both in photos and conversation. I so enjoyed this leg of your trip in Budapest. It felt comfortable and like you were talking just to me.

That was a lovely park and fountain. I enjoyed the faux castle and the benches you sat on. I enjoyed your walk around the lake. But most of all, I enjoyed your trip to Varosliget, where the coffee must have been out of this world for you to give it such high praise. The interior is beautiful, but it looks like you had a good view of the lake and the faux castle, too.

Oh wow, Hero's Square was amazing. I enjoyed both the architecture and the statues. Wonderful photos, all.

Thanks for this wonderful tour and coffee at Varosliget during T this Tuesday.

Gorgeous tag, Chris! The background is really beautiful.

I enjoyed your photos of Budapest. So much to see. The statue reminds me of the grim reaper.

I saw your comment at Susi's that my snail mail finally arrived. Yay! I can't believe it took 3 months to get to you! I sent it air mail. I wonder what kind of planes the Mexican post office uses - lol.

Happy day! Hugs, Eileen
