T stands for Trying To Get Some Exercise!

Hi everyone, as part of my post today I have a journal page I have meant to post for the last few days!

It is for Valerie's Art Journal Journey 'Anything Goes' theme but it also qualifies for

I covered my page with gesso before sprinkling with Paper Artsy Infusion powders, I added some stencilling with embossing ink and added white embossing powder. The flowers were stamped and coloured with Neocolour11 crayons and the main image was taken from some designer paper. I finished by spattering with white acrylic paint.

We have both put a few pounds on over the Winter so last week you may remember we went to Lyme Park and had a walk around the lake.

We decided to warm up a bit in the palm house
These two ladies dressed in red against the red Camellia made me smile and they allowed me to take a photograph - unfortunately I forgot to ask permission to put their photo on my blog so I retouched their faces

This plant looked dead as we approached it but there are lots of green shoots appearing.

We managed a short walk at Styal Mill on our way shopping on Saturday

I'm looking forward to seeing this border grow

I am really pleased that my phone camera can take these close ups

There are daffodils at different stages as well as snowdrops that are still blooming.

My T Stands For Tuesday drink is coffee - flat white - that we both had at Booths the other week before we started our shopping - I had mine with a coffee while hubby opted for a slice of Victoria sponge cake.

I'm sure you would get a warm welcome from Bleubeard and Elizabeth and the rest of the T party gang if you joined them with your drink related post at The Altered Book Lover.

We also went to Dunham Massey for a walk but I think my T space is about used up for today!

Thanks for looking, Chris

ps We still need lots more walks!!!

Your spring flowers look wonderful. A few bold and early flowers appeared here a few weeks ago but were overwhelmed by snow and ice that’s been our weather more recently. I don’t see any red coats.

I want to visit Lyme Park SO much, especially because it is in my favorite movie. The grounds are stunning, and I love how all the plants are starting to bud.
Your journal page is so pretty, and I love the touches of sparkle.

Nice journal page Chris. That background has lots of details. The face is really eye-catching too. And Lyme Park is looking so beautiful. I am still jealous you have spring flowers. I love the delicate look the flowers have against the starting to green up plants. I'm glad you shared these photo Chris, and I hope you had a great T day. hugs-Erika

Happy T Day! You certainly had a wonderful walk, love all the flowers and plants sprouting. We've got a cold spell just now, with snow. At least it looks pretty! Thanks so much for linking to my challenge at AJJ, hugs, Valerie

Thanks for the walk, now I know we will not be doing anything too energetic around Sizergh because you need to stop to take photos - Phew! I enjoyed seeing all the different photos so much.
Love your journal page. The lady is striking, and even more so with you leaving her black and white against the colour of the page and those beautiful stencilled flowers.
Thanks for a lovely journey.
Hugs, Neet xx

Chris, your journal page is wonderful! And your photos are also so fun to look at. I haven't figured out how to take close ups with my phone. Most of the photos I take are just so-so. I love taking photos, just not good at it! Happy belated t day.

Sorry I am so late visiting Chris. I had your blog open, then never visited. Stress does things to my memory.

This is a gorgeous journal page. You put a LOT into it, too. It is wonderful. I especially like the focal image. This is ideal for Valerie's theme at Art Journal Journey. Thanks for sharing it.

You have two very beautiful parks near you where you can walk. It was great to see how spring has started to arrive in your world. These are simply lovely photos of both parks,m each a but different.

T looks ready to devour that sponge cake. I am sure you both enjoyed your drinks and treats. Thanks for sharing your art, your two parks, and your white coffee and treats wth us for T this week, dear friend.

Love this page and the way you have incorporated that image into it. I have yet to try those powders - looks like something else to add to my list lol! Those images of Lyme Park look so lovely - spring is on the way and I hope they haven't all been covered in snow. Thanks for playing along with us at Creative Artiste Mixed Media

A truly striking journal page Chris, love that harlequin background. I agree leaving the the face black and white really acts as a good contrast to those sweet bunched flowers. Extremely eye catching and really happy to see you have joined us @ Creative Artiste this month. Wishing you all the best in the challenge Hugs Tracey xx
P.S Thanks so much for taking us on a journey through Lyme Park with you & hubby x
