Hi everyone, I hadn't intended having so long between posts but having spent a lot of time prepping and then having a day with my craft group (plus an escape for a walk) I'm way behind with quite a lot of things.
I have made a page for Valerie's 'When One Door Closes, Another Opens' theme at Art Journal Journey.
As you may have spotted, it is in one of my smallest journals - I put an ink pad at the side so you can see how small it is.
The page had already been started - with some Paper Artsy Infusion splashed deli paper so I added some text stamping, and part of a Paper Artsy stamp by Sara Naumann.
The door is by Seven Gypsies I think and I found a perfect snippet from an old book to add to the page.

We decided to go out in the sunshine to Fletcher Moss Park on Thursday and as it was nearly lunchtime we had a pulled pork and apple roll from the outdoor cafe while sitting on a sunny bench.
There was a frost in the morning and lots of puddles were iced over.
The real treat came afterwards though - as we walked through the garden we came to an area by the pond that had lots of fallen leaves on it. At first I saw a Jay pecking amongst the leaves, then two, then altogether five were taking turns at coming down to the ground, they only seem to eat alone or in twos though.
We walked to The Parsonage through the wood -it was a bit muddy and some trees had been blown down - including this one that we had to step over.
Mistletoe growing on one of the branches - we saw several more bunches but all very high up
My friend who told me she had been there in the morning watched a Kingfisher here.

Your page is beautiful Chris I love it!
and I enjoyed all the photos too hugs Kathy
Hi Chris, thanks for this beautiful, little page; a real treasure, so pretty! I love it. It reminds me of our castle ruins. You had a great walk with nice weather. How lovely to see the squirrels and the jays, there are always so pretty. I stayed home today, it was cold and misty all day! Have a god start in the new week, hugs, Valerie
That page is a real beauty Chris. Small or not, it works perfectly for this challenge! I love the colors you used too. And your walk photos are beautiful. You still have so much green grass. Those jays are so frisky too; you got some great photos. Have a great start to the new week Chris. Hugs-Erika
I love this one because it IS small. It's adorable. Great entry for Valerie's theme at AJJ.
Loved the gardens you shared, but I'm not a fan of blue jays. They are nasty, hateful birds.
Its a wonderful door image Chris and fantastic inspiration for Valerie's theme over at AJJ. Your little book was a perfect size to the welcoming door.
Beautiful photos from your walk.
Stay safe.

A beautiful page Chris, and I love your photos too, especially the jays.
Our jay appeared fleetingly on the bird bath in our garden this morning, and we spotted one on our early morning walk too. Also saw a sparrow hawk and buzzard, it was a good walk :D
Have a great week,
Alison
All the images for the open/closed door theme remind me of Alice in Wonderland and the little doors she finds, along with keys and strange creatures. Lewis Carroll really made certain aspects of the English scene come to life in a strange and wonderful way. I love your photos for some of the same magic.

Lovely journal page and photos Chris! xoxo
Fab photos - love that bee. I was particularly pleased to see the jays - we have two that regularly visit our back lawn. Not sure what attracts them but we love it when we spot one or the pair. Aren't they beautiful looking birds?
Your page came up on Bloglovin and I loved it straight away. What a gorgeous stamps and how lovely you have used it for your journal page. It's like an illustration in an Edwardian Lady's journal.
Hugs, Neet xx
Love the tiny journal. So twee. Your photos of Fletcher Moss are so beautiful. I always think of November as a drab month, but there's so much color in these gardens. From the look of the fish scale clouds, looks like you'll be having some stormy weather. Take care.
Fabulous page and photographs. I love jays and your walk looked great.
Hugs Wendy
