T Stands For........to the top!

Hi everyone, another week has whizzed by and here we are a T Stands for Tuesday hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth at the Altered Book Lover.

Thursday we were both at the Dentist's for a date with the Hygienist as well as for a dental check up. All was well, although I do not like that the hygienist has use the old traditional method of scraping (no sprays allowed at the moment)

On Friday we went to Lyme Park. we took a map with us so that we could explore more paths. I took quite a few photos ( just saying, you could be here for a while)

Rain was threatening (seems to be the norm!) but we had waterproof coats on to keep us warm as much as any thing else - Lyme is in the Peak District.

First we headed in a familiar direction

..and into the wood.

Buds, moss and...lichens (a sign of clean air)
The blue sky looks great against these trees

Wild Forget me Nots
Going up, away from the wood...

..and looking back at how far we had come.
Looking down over the wood we thought we were on the top of the world

We  weren't
So, onwards and upwards..

The views got even better
We walked past the old cottage and looked out over moorland

Looking out over to Manchester and Stockport it looks as though they may be having a lot of rain

We came through the gate and walked along by the wall to a more familiar sight.

On the left is the wood we walked by last time and on the right is the hill with the deer on
Down to the cattle grid that leads to the car park
Here's the top of our car - no one had parked by us so we had a quiet picnic lunch in the car....
...with a coffee to follow of course! Why the silly grin?....I thought I could hide..Ha! Ha!

Do you like my new mug? It's not very nice to drink out of so will be holding pens soon!

I might try and show you some of hubby's close ups later this week.

Thanks for looking, Chris

great photos, looks like quite a long walk! I like the mug but agree if things don't taste right of them you have to use for something else!

I always enjoy my walk with you. Wow. These photos today are amazing. You have so any beautiful places near you. Too bad the mug isn't good to drink from, but it is quite pretty. It should give you lots of arty inspiration. Hope it has been a great T day Chris. Hugs-Erika

What a lovely stroll through Lyme Park. You walked quite a distance from the looks of it. And what an adorable picture of you with that grin. Your mug is pretty even if it is only a pen mug now.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Thanks for taking us for a walk at Lyme Park. I think we have been there too. We used to have NT membership and when we visited my sister (who lives near macclesfield) we would go and see properties included in our membership. The views are stunning!
I love your cheesy grin!
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

I was sure I had left a comment before I fell asleep, but obviously that was not the case, dear. I enjoyed your trip to Lyme. I loved seeing the deer and the trees that were misshapen. Simply beautiful photos.

I also loved seeing you in the car. You can't hide from me (grin). Too bad you don't like your new mug for drinking. It's beautiful and looks like it was meant for your love of Paris. Thanks for sharing your walk through Lyme and your drinks with us in the car park for T this Tuesday, dear friend.

Great pictures! But that cottage! What a long way to go if you've run out of loo roll! (or teabags!)

Beautiful mugs, too!

Super photos Chris, both those mugs looked lovely to me. I wonder which one will get to hold the pens? I know what you mean about using new mugs, its the handles that get my attention as to how often I would use them.
Stay safe.

What a wonderful area you visited - my kind of country. I would have been tuned into the bird life there with my ears and eyes both primed! As for your coffee mug, it looks pretty good to me, but if it's not comfortable to drink from better it become a pencil holder.

That was quite a hike and such beautiful scenery!
That would be a perfect mug for you to hold paint brushes or some other art supplies. Would inspire you because you love paris so. :)

Gorgeous countryside and what a cute little car passenger! I'm totally jealous you got to get your teeth cleaned. I've been holding off getting my vaccine as instructed by my doctors until more data is known about vaccinated people with multiple arthritises like mine, and this past week it was reported that some have been getting shingles, so just as I was getting impatient to be jabbed, now I've got to wait a while longer as I do not want shingles! Beautiful scenery Chris! Can't wait till we can head north again. Our son is buying a house in Eccles, so we'll be coming up to help him move in the not too distant future we hope :-)
Happy Friday,
