T Stands For.....The Winter Garden at Dunham

We went back to Dunham last week and the changes since last time were wonderful! The only thing was, we were watching rain clouds threatening all the time. We arrived there just after it had stopped raining and luckily got to our next destination before it rained again.

The lake looks beautiful with those reflections
We were both fascinated with the shadows the trees made
It's lovely to see Cowslips and Bluebells together
We sat on this bench to drink takeaway coffees we had bought at the cafe.

It is here that I will join Bleubeard and Elizabeth at the Altered Book Lover for T Stands For Tuesday

Hubby thought you would rather see me this week! As some of you know I have had my hair cut since this photo

This Jackdaw was getting brave

Hubby took a closer look at the Tulips and Bluebells
Ferns are unfurling

My favourite view!

Bluebells aplenty as we walked on the back path

Some Solomon's Seal too

It looks as though there is going to be clean up of the stream some time soon

The clouds really do look full of rain!!
This area has been closed for around year, there are now nice new paths

I spotted something in a bush across the lake - I'm sure Valerie will guess what it is!
Hubby got a better pic - it's a Heron!

More rainclouds were threatening
It was nearly lunchtime - we went into the visitor centre, a quick visit to the shop
The cafe here was doing take aways too - not many folk around though.
At least there wasn't a queue for the loos.
Back to where we had parked the car..
...with these views

I got out for a closer look - more bluebells
We ate our Picnic lunch in the car - it was a bit chilly.
It's not much different from last week's - we like that bagels don't go soggy like some bread.

From here we went to check out a farm shop we had seen advertised - no photos as it was spitting with rain and inside our hands were too full!!
We will be going back so I'll take some then!

I hope you are still here! Thank you for looking,Happy T Day, Chris

And The hubby was right; it is nice to see you this week. And you yummy car picnic. We've been doing them too on occasion. Hope you are having a wonderful T day Chris. And thanks for sharing those beautiful garden photos. Hugs-Erika

I was really impressed with Dunham, Chris. It is beautiful this time of year. Although it is lovely in every season, this was particularly beautiful. I loved seeing Lilies of the Valley, the Solomon's which I had never heard of, the ferns, and the tulips.

You look really good with your take out coffee. I can tell you've lost weight, too. I'm getting my hair cut later this week, too. It's been over a year and Scott's been chopping away at mine for all that time. I can't stand my hair on my neck.

How sweet that you brought real mugs with you for eating in the car. I wonder whose the owl belongs to (grin)! I agree that bagels don't get soggy, but your snack sure looks wonderful. Thanks for taking us to Dunham, and for sharing the flowers, the take-out coffee, the snack, and the mugs of coffee in the car with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.

Picnic weather is almost here. We ate out in our garden one night recently, but then reverted to rainy and colder days. Your photos do hint that there's hope for good weather ahead.

Beautiful lake and... hi, nice to see you :-)
Beautiful nature pics. Like your humor, no queue for the loos, oh, I know how terrible it is to stand in one.
Belated happy T-Day.
