Not too dark for a bit of crafting though!!
I have made a tag for Tag Tuesday's challenge - Anything Goes.
I started this so long ago I can't remember any details about how I made the background. I added AALLandcreate stamps and some bits of chocolate paper that were on my desk...Ooops! The balloon lady was cut from an ATC that didn't quite look right when I made a few for the WOYWW crop. The sentiment seemed to be just right!
It's a simple page...
...using an image cut from a booklet about Christmas food!!!
For most of my childhood we lived in a cottage between two farms(well, one was across the road actually)and I spent a lot of time playing with friends on one of them and 'helping' at the other.
I saw quite a few calves being born too!
Cows are such gentle creatures and I still can't resist stopping to look if I see some in a field. We like to go to Sizergh Farm shop too and last weekend when we called in the cows were being milked and I couldn't resist breathing in the reminiscent odour!
I was lucky enough to do some volunteer work at a National Trust farm for a few years not so long ago and it was then that I gave up eating beef.
I used a baby wipe to add some pale blue paint, some stencilling and stamping with AALLandcreate's Tracy Evans's daisy. I found the sentiment separated from it's sheet. I added some inky spatters and coloured in the daisy with the same ink.
Now, back to Avignon and the bridge!
We very nearly didn't make it. I told you that we bought a joint ticket...well, in an effort to make my bag lighter in the heat I removed quite a lot and..yes..the ticket, which I mistook for a used one! We set out in the morning and had walked quite a way when something 'clicked' as we were coming up to a cafe! I would have gone back myself..really..but hubby would have none of it...so after finishing his drink he left me to finish mine and went all the way back to the hotel!
I had spotted a nice looking restaurant that was serving food in the square so when hubby got back he had another drink and we moved over to the square - the same company owned the restaurant!
As you can see, not his usual smile so not for T Day!!
As we didn't want to go on the bridge in the middle of the day we went to the Petit Palais museum where there was an amazing Italian art exhibition, which I may get around to showing you one day!
Finally we found our way onto the bridge..or rather half bridge..
It's rather strange to walk along to the end of a bridge not even halfway across the river!
The views were lovely though!
We looked up to where we had taken the photo the day before
There was a very good display at the exhibition centre and a very informative film too.
We didn't dance on the bridge though!
Next time I will take you to Toulouse and the disastrous start we had to our stay!
Thanks for looking, Chris

Your tag is wonderful, Chris. You used a LOT of things on it and I was in awe. Yes, the sentiment is perfect, too.
Cows are beautiful creatures. I hate that some of them have to be slaughtered because they are beef and not milk cows.
Your journal page might be simple, but I see depth in it. I also love the cow, too. It's a great entry for Gill's theme at Art Journal Journey. Thanks for sharing it.
Wow, that bridge is remarkable. I don't think T isn't smiling because of anything other than he is probably tired from running back to the hotel for the ticket. He looks tired to me, at least. Beautiful photos and lovely meal, too.
Glad you didn't have a wasted journey totally! poor T..all that extra walking. The views from the bridge are fabulous, well worth all the effort.
Shame on you for not dancing on the bridge! Thanks for sharing the lovely photos, though. The tag is great, thanks so much for joining us again at Tag Tuesday, much appreciated. I miss the tree that used to be in front of my window, it kept off so much heat in summer. Love the journal page, too, cows are always so soulful. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
I love cows too. I have been told by a farmer that some of them are not
t so pleasant, and some are, which surprised me because I assumed they were all pretty gentle. And your art is cool. I love the cow and that tag made me smile. And when we were in Avignon we saw the bridge but didn't get onto it, mainly because we had to head back towards Barcelona which where we flew in and out of. So thanks for taking us there. Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika
I love your art today so much, the fantastic tag and the pretty cow page.
Both is wonderful Chris. And the bridge and all the extra walking, what an adventure!
Happy weekend and thank you beyond belief for supporting AJJ in such a fabulous way.
I appreciate this so much.

Some beautiful scenery and lovely blue skies in your photos.
The imagery on your tag made me smile.
And another fabulous page for AJJ - thanks Chris. Wonderful image of that cow and the background is soft and gentle and perfect for the quote.
Have a great weekend.. Gill x
Great art, as usual.
Sweet of him to go back for you. :)
I got a kick out of you re-using something from an ATC. I love that image, and it does suit the quote :)
"Disastrous"?! Oh, no! But your view from the bridge makes me happy enough to dance even if you didn't ;)
Such a fantastic tag and page! Those views across the river are so beautiful too 😁. Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Jo x
p.s. yes, it would be lovely to meet up in Sept. x
It is a super tag and page Chris. Did you see anyone dancing on the bridge? its such a well known happening and a beautiful destination.
Have a good rest of the weekend.
Yvonne xx
Wow, she really is wild - and the wild background is the perfect setting for her - amazing tag! That kind of turmoil feels all too familiar at the moment. I have to confess the gentle serenity of the cow's quiet strength is more how I'd like to be feeling. It's a beautiful, calming page. And cows do have amazing eyes...
Only one question... why no dancing? Pourquoi non?!

Wonderful artwork Chris! X
Love the cow... reminds me of the cow that used to meet me at the fence so, so many years ago. The others would eventually join us, but one would see me crossing the open field and meander over to meet me. She was a sweet friend.
Thank you for evoking this charming Medicine memory with your lovely art.
