T Stands For ......two gardens

Hi everyone, I got my days mixed last week and totally missed T!      We have been quite busy though. Thanks for all the comments and advice following my post the other day - we're going to have to learn to let go!!!

We had a couple of nice garden visits last week.

Bridgemere Garden Centre was huge (it supplies almost all of the plants for the other nurseries in the chain.)

It also includes and RHS garden with a selection of show gardens from Chelsea, Tatton and a few more and has an open area the back where the rest of the nursery can be viewed.

This part is fenced off and not open to the public.

These photos were take halfway along the walkway to the entrance in each direction - on either side there were smaller walkways between row on row of plants.
There were three places to get food and numerous shopping outlets including a Hobbycraft.

The show gardens were wonderful.

There is a little cottage complete with vegetable garden.
There's so much to take in - we are going to need a second visit!

A mock forge

Yes, we will definitely have to have another trip!

On Saturday we set out to go shopping but the weather was so nice. We took a detour to Dunham Massey.

It was quite busy - this was at nearly Midday
We hadn't forgotten to keep an eye on the time, just as I haven't forgotten why I am really here!

It's time to share my drink related part of my post at The Altered Book Lover where Bleubeard and Elizabeth invite us to share a drink at T Stands For Tuesday as well as joining the company of some lovely folk in the T club. Anyone can join - along as you have a drink reference!
Here's my happy hubby - you may know that when we are in France he loves a Café Gourmand - coffee with a selection of small desserts.
We called in at the tea room at Bridgmere and there on a table were a range of tiny portions with an offer of four cakes and a coffee for a special price - he could choose his own (in France you get what comes)
His smile says it all!
This was his choice....I had half of the cheese scone you see on my plate (the rest came home with me)
Hubby chose a Cappuccino while I had a flat white.

I hope I haven't rambled too much.
 Thanks for looking,Chris

Those gardens are both so lovely, and perfect for this season. I'm going to a local garden tomorrow and I'm excited to see what's new and what's blooming. And your husband's plate of snacks is making me hungry. I'd like something sweet right now. I hope you had a great T day Chris. Hugs-Erika

We also love to visit garden centers, but the way your local one is planted with display gardens is really special, and we haven’t seen anything like it here. My friend in London has sent photos of the Chelsea garden show a few times — if they display there, that’s impressive.

I can see why you'd rather visit gardens than go shopping! What wonderful photos - so much new growth and colour now, I love it!
the selection of cakes looks fantastic, too.

Bridgemere is beautiful. For a garden center it is fabulous, I think Helen has taken us to Chelsea before. I also think someone has taken us to Tatton because the name sounds so familiar.

Goodness, even the rows if shrubs and flowers were beautiful. But those show gardens were out of this world. I love the wicker/woven animals and birds.

AH, another trip to Dunham Massey. Always fun to see these gardens as they change from week to week. Yes, it WAS busy.

T looks very happy with his choices of desserts. They all look delicious to me. Now I am SO hungry for something sweet! Thanks for sharing photos from both gardens (LOVED that cottage show garden) your desserts and your coffees with us for T this week, dear Chris. Sorry this is SO very late.
