Dream that you can....!

Hi everyone! I have been back to the docs once again - becoming a regular!!!

This time it was following a call about my blood sugar to the Diabetic nurse at the practice - apparently nothing to worry about and today's level proved that to be so!
However, she didn't like what I told her about my pains and made the unprecedented move of booking me in to see a GP the next morning.(we have a system of ring after 8.00am and try to get in the queue for an appointment)

The doc gave me a thorough examination, heart, lungs, flexibility and gave me a sheet of useful exercises!
Having done them for just a day I feel much better and now have the motivation to get on with looking at what I will be taking on our trip...as well as looking around at all the things I haven't been able to tackle!

I started a journal page a while ago with the lovely new butterfly stamp from Crafty Individuals so yesterday finished it!

I had gessoed over quite a bright page and added some blue ink around the edges.
The butterflies were stamped and fussy cut and then some slightly smaller butterflies were cut and inked around the edges
I added random parts of another new CI stamp and then stamped the Dylusions quote.
Once stuck down everything had a quick spatter!

I am of course joining in at Art Journal Journey with Halle's 'Words to Live by' theme

That's the best news I've heard today, dear Chris. I'm so happy for you and a bit more relieved, too.

I am in awe of your latest journal page. It is both moving and inspiring. Those butterflies look like they are about to fly off the page. I love how you cut them and I adore that background, too. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us at Art Journal Journey using Halle's theme. And please don't overdo anything, either.

It was good to read that you are now making progress to control the pain.
It makes you wonder why you had to wait so long to get the help you needed.
Its a fabulous butterfly page and quote.

I love how these look like they are flying Chris. Smart idea of lyer the paper underneath. It is a pretty summery page. And glad the exercises help. Medical appointments are such a nuisance but they hopefully fix problems. So hopefully this is your fix! Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika

You sound like a copy of me Chris. We should have sat together and nattered more last weekend. I keep getting called back to the docs for things that turn out to be minor and just wish they would concentrate on the things that are causing me so much pain and the resulting incapacity. Haven't done my pain diary this month yet but am writing up day to day feelings on scrap squares - just need to decorate it.
Love your butterfly page. I know you say it took a long time to do but it is so well worth it, you did a beautiful job of creating beautiful art.
Hope your medication keeps working and you are able to enjoy your holiday to he full. Will miss you if you don't drop in now and then.
Hugs, Neet xx

Gorgeous Chris and love the journal page too Lol! That's interesting what you said about getting an appointment at your clinic, ours is the same and it's a nightmare trying to get through and I have found that seeing the practice nurse is often the easiest option and she will book you in with a doctor if she feels you need to see one. We also have a travelling Pharmacist and often just seeing him is enough as he can give prescriptions too. Anyway just you take care and hope you have a nice week though it is pouring it down here at the moment. Angela xXx

This is absolutely beautiful - the soft blue-greys are so gentle and pretty, but the black adds a touch of melancholy. I really hope you've been taking care of yourself through June and that you're feeling even better by now.
