Anything Is Paris

I have a final page to add to Wendy's 'Vintage' theme at Art Journal Journey'

I love this image from GeckoGalz - it reminds me of Paris and I have used some stamps by Elusive Images(now Chocolate Baroque) of Pont Royal, a very ornate bridge and the third oldest of the bridges over the Seine and I was pleased that a piece of washi tape matched up perfectly with the image. I also added some Tim Holtz stamps over the Crowded Attic paper(also TH) that I painted over with watered down Paper Artsy Fresco paint.

We walked rather than travelled by Metro when we were in Paris - one day I walked over 25,000 steps (about 12 miles- 19KM) We crossed the Seine by various bridges over the week.

We saw this bridge - Pont de Sully from the top of the Institut de Monde Arabe (more of that another day) It links Isle St Louis to both banks of the Seine

We walked along by the Seine and saw the 'beach' and a covered football pitch and play areas.
Walking over Pont Neuf we took some photos.

We walked over Pont de Tolbiac to visit Bercy

One final view of the Seine from our taxi on the way to Gare du Nord

I'll be back to show you some of the places we went to after crossing these bridges another day.

Thanks for looking, Chris

This is a fabulous page and I really love the metal spanner type image you used at the top of your page. The lady does remind me of Paris also. And nice number of steps. I loved the views from Paris. Especially seeing all the bridges! Thanks for sharing. And thanks for this great page for AJJ. Hope you've adjusted to being home again. Hugs-Erika

A wonderful journal page, Chris. I think the lady is for sure dreaming about all the possibilities that lie before her. All the stamps and added detail with ephemera are perfect for this vintage page.

Oh my, I KNOW I would have walked and walked without a thought to how far I was going too, just to take in all the gorgeous streets and places and scenery!! I can still picture the many streets we walked when I was last there some years ago now. A pleasure to see Paris and France again through your visit, and I look forward to seeing lots more:)

What an incredible journal page, dear. I love the lace, the stamping, the ephemera, and the sheer beauty of this wonderful journal page. Thanks for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey using Wendy's theme. This journal page went so well with the lovely photos you shared with us of Paris and the Seine.
