T Stands for trips and other things!!!

Hi everyone, I am so pleased I scheduled my TSFT post before we went away last week and I do apologise if I only got around to visiting at the weekend!
I had a bit of a bang on the head last Monday afternoon while were out in the Lake District! I am fine although it was sore for a day or two and I didn't sleep so well! I was very tired especially since when we came back on Tuesday we had round of appointments, social events etc organised!!
We had started our day in Kendal

We then went on to have lunch but forgot to take photos!
We then headed to Lake Windermere for a little walk in the park at Waterhead near Ambleside.
It had been a bit of a grey day but the sun decided to set and give some light to take photos by!!

As you can see the lake was very calm.It was just after this photo that I got the bump on the head - not going into details but hubby was involved in something was really both our faults!!!
We went on to Hayes Garden Centre - it was here where I was able to put an ice pack on my head after the bump!
It didn't stop me looking at the displays though!
I think this was a take on how many polar bears fit in a mini...
...although this guy clearly wasn't going to make it!!!

We came home on Tuesday afternoon and after our appointment we went to shop and stopped for a coffee!
Of course, it is here I will join Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands For Tuesday.
Look at hubby's gleeful rubbing of the hands as he compares our drinks - Hot Chocolate for him and Americano for me and can you see he also picked up a bargain extra cake!!
On Wednesday was my birthday and my lovely friend Elizabeth made a special journal page which I confess to missing until she told me about it! I had a catch up on her blog but hadn't gone back that far! Thank you to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday!!
We went to Kate Rusby's Christmas concert which was absolutely wonderful!!
Since then we have almost completed our Christmas shopping, posted lots of Christmas cards(more tomorrow on these!)and had to make a few extras, been forced into buying another Christmas tree (fortunately with cash off!)met up with numbers 1 and 2 boys (no 3 was in France) and been to see Aquaman at the cinema yesterday - I loved it as the costumes and the art work were amazing!

Today, apart from a Garden committee meeting there has been time to decorate our tree and to make a journal page for Art Journal Journey
I have made a Spring page for Elizabeth's theme of Tis the Season(or my favourite season)
With such a grey wet day I turned my thoughts to Spring!
Some distress inks and drips, stencilling, napkins,Tissue paper, magazine pic and part of a page that went a bit wrong!!

Thanks for looking, Chrisx

oh Wow sorry you hit your head-sounds like a rough one-and something I would do-I can be a klutz at times Hope you are doing better now.
Loved all the photos, and the Christmas displays with the bears were really lovely. when I was child my parents always took us in to the big city-Chicago where they really had awesome Christmas windows and displays.
Your coffees and desserts look delish.
Pretty journal page
Happy T and Merry Christmas hugs Kathy

Oh dear. your poor head - do hope the ill effects will wear off quickly and leave you good as new for Christmas. Next - belated happy birthday - it sounds as though you've had a lovely time celebrating, and also been very productive with the Christmas prep.

Your spring time page is lovely, reminding us that there will be an end to this cold, grey, wet weather - though it looks as though you were pretty lucky on your day out in Ambleside. The display at the garden centre is really amazing!

Oh, btw, have you received your e-card from me? Might be sitting in Spam...

I hope you are getting over your head bump, it must have given you a real bad headache as well as a bump.
The photos from Windermere looked lovely and it was good to see the mini again, it was the only display finished when we went there a number of weeks ago.
Your spring journal page looks lovely, I think many of us are thinking of warmer days.
Happy T day wishes Chris, your drinks and cakes looked yummy.

I'm glad your bump on the head wasn't serious, Chris. You two always seem to soldier on no matter what.

Your shoreline photos of Lake Windemere are lovely. The lake looks so serene. The Christmas displays are outstanding. I love the giant polar bear.

Seeing your hubby's 100 watt smile always makes me smile back. And somehow you found time for AJJ. You amaze me! I got tired just reading your wonderful post.

Happy T-day and Merry Christmas! Eileen xoxo

Happy belated birthday Chris. I am glad to hear that bump on your head wasn't anything too serious. I am always so impressed with the garden centers in England. Much better than here, and so festive! It sounds like you are having a lot of fun and enjoying the days leading up to the holidays. Loving your spring page also. We were very cold today so it is nice to think of spring. Hope it was a great T day. Hugs-Erika

Sorry about the head bump but you need to explain it all to me, I am now imagining all kinds of things involving hubby!
Lovely Christmas decs, and great photo of the man himself who seems to be rubbing his hands with glee at his cake bargain. Surely it is not just his creamy drink!
We need to swap email addies now as I can write better than I can ring.
Just ordered some more Inktense pencils - need to get out and about a bit more and visit the shop.
Hugs & Merry Christmas - Neet xx

Talk about being behind! I was out looking at Christmas lights last night, got home and promptly fell asleep since I'd been up since about 3 am. When I woke, I saw you and Susi had posted T Tuesday links and I felt really bad I had not checked before I went to bed.

The tree in the first photo had a WOW factor for me. It is beautiful. Of course, the polar bears were delightful, too. You and Yvonne seem to visit the same haunts.

What a FABULOUS photo of T. He looks so happy and joyful. Perhaps due to finding a reduced cake, but more than likely that wonderful hot chocolate he ordered. Thanks for sharing your drinks and cakes with us for T this Wednesday that should have been Tuesday.

Your spring journal page brightened my morning. It was great to wake to this beauty. Thanks for sharing it and making my day. It fits so well with my theme at Art Journal Journey. Glad, too, you got to see your birthday wish and stamped cupcake (grin).

I'm so sorry you hurt your head! I'm glad you're doing ok afterwards. Those mall decorations and the garden center displays are worth getting out for. They've entered into the spirit of things :) The lakeside looks cold, but that may just be the gray sky. hose are big cups! I'd be rubbing my hands with anticipation, too! It sounds like you had an enjoyable birthday celebration. Someday it'll be spring again, but in the meantime I'll enjoy your tulip-filled page :) Happy late T Tuesday :)
