Cool green!

I missed most of the colourful flowers in our caravan garden this year as we were away in France. At the moment we are in a lull between one flowering and another - it will soon be time for my Hydrangeas and Budleias to flower…but that's okay because I love to look out at the different shades of green!
It is the inspiration behind this card for a special card for a family member (won't say who - just in case she sees this!!)
I usually make flat cards to post but we will be hand delivering this!

A few photos along the way…
Corrugated card brushed over with Paper Artsy Fresco paint - Guacamole and Nougat
Some Frantage added..and a few of those nail art beads!
Some of my lovely MAMBI paper stamped with Woodware text
Book paper stamped on both sides  with the butterfly stamp

I am entering the following challenges
Mixed Media Monthly Challenge - Summer Days……I will be spending more days at our caravan….hopefully with better weather than today!!

Taken last week..and it was raining  then too

Thanks for looking, Chris

Gorgeous greens in your garden and gorgeous neutrals on your card. I love the layered butterflies (stamped front and back, how's that for attention to detail?!), and great use of the corrugated cardboard - bet it never thought it would get to shimmer! Beautiful card - how nice to be hand-delivering it so that you can indulge in a bit of 3D.

Every card you make is elegant and oh so vintage and beautiful. It's even feminine, too. Very impressive.

I just learned that Karla has been trying to get in touch with you so she can send you her ATC from last week. Her blog is http://poeticpostcards.blogspot.com/ Thanks.

Such a gorgeous card Chris. I love those yummy textures and beautiful flowers. The butterfly is stunning.

Enjoy the flowers when they finally bloom....our summer has been such a wash out this year, which is so disappointing as I love to sit in the garden.

Sending best wishes

Your card is just gorgeous Chris, and the picture of all the green is so pretty. Even though we had a couple rain storms last week California is still BROWN!

I just sent you the requested e-mail, if it doesn't go through you can e-mail me at: lmogle1950 at yahoo dot com

RV stands for Recreational Vehicle, and the RV parks are just a fancy name for a campground you can park your trailer in and have full hook ups...like water, electricity and plumbing. Camping down on the beach requires you to use all of these from your trailer.....unless you use a tent ( my tent days are over..LOL) Then you can use the state provided outhouse and have to haul water in and use lanterns for light, after dark......OH yes! My TENTING days are over........LOVE my Playhouse and all the conveniences.

Yes! you must try the string painting, so much fun, even for this senior. We used a crochet thread for a little weight.

Thanks for coming to Tea.

This is such a beautiful card! I really love the texture that the corrugated paper adds and I applaud anyone who makes cards that are too bulky to be mailed! LOVE those layers and you did a great job with making the butterfly look energetic and like it was ready to fly off the page! I look out in my yard and see weeds and some out of control morning glory, so thanks for giving us non-green-thumbs some pretty flowers to look at! And thanks for sharing your inspirational piece with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

Love the butterflies and isn't it a good feeling to recycle some cardboard?
That lush green photo is amazing, it's so dry down here.
