Sunday...... .some things!

Hi everyone  - all is well here apart from blogger still playing games - I even have problems getting my own blog to display when I have added something to a draft!

I have lots to show you though!

I have a new page for Mia's 'Fish' theme at Art Journal Journey.

When I found the sardine tin image in a free magazine I knew I had use it.
I used a Lavinia stencil with three different colours of Paper Artsy Fresco paints than added some ink through the same stencil (a very old Black Soot Distress ink)The sardines were mounted on an old piece of gelli printed paper. I found a scrap of similar coloured paper to stamp the Lavinia fish on. The quote is from a Tim Holtz Clippings sticker book. The papers had their edges inked too.

Next I have a Tag for Valerie's Use a Die theme at Tag Tuesday
I used a tag that already had an orange background - possibly a gelli print - I used a Paper Artsy brick stamp and Rusty Hinge Distress ink to make an aged brick wall effect.
I picked the green flower(a TH wildflower)as it reminded me of seeing plants that grow out of walls or chimneys. The quote is a TH Small Talk sticker.

I also realise that I haven't shown last weeks ICADs
Here they are together. I used up quite a few scraps making them.

Although I am trying to use washi tape in my ICADs the day's prompt was found and I had literally found the pieces down the sides of the settee

I tried to write underneath the ICAD with the pink flower but the cursor just kept jumping up the page - the prompt was 'Rainbow' so I chose rainbow colours.

Before we went shopping last week we had a quick walk around The Carrs wood near Wilmslow.

The birds were singing but were in competition with the tractor mowing the rugby field

Thanks for looking, Chris

WOYWW 679

I am trying to keep up with everything at the moment but have failed to get here for a couple of weeks.

Half term was great and we did get an outing with our grandchildren and one of my sons....then...last week they wanted to meet us in town as the youngsters were going to see Billy Eilish in concert. The plan had been to meet up, eat and then send them off while we went to the cinema. Manchester was gridlocked and we were coming from opposite sides of the city, both late and the concert goers had to grab a MacDonalds and go while we went to a World buffet and on to see Tom Cruise!

Okay, sorry, you're here to see my desk...eeeek! Still lots to make it back to their homes!

I am linking with deskers of the World at Julia's blog The Stamping Ground for Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday

My ATC from Sylvia arrived yesterday along with some little goodies so that's what you see here

It came with some goodies too - Thank you again Sylvia!
I thought you might like to see where I take photographs of my art though, especially journals.

The light is aways best here even in Winter

Here is what I was taking a photo of. It's for Mia's 'Fish' theme at Art Journal Journey.

I'm out all day today so I hope to catch up later.

Thanks for looking, Chris

T Stands For ...The Last Day In Paris

Hi everyone, it's time for for our last day in Paris, as usual we headed for Parc Montsouris. It's a short walk from our hotel and lovely way to spend the morning.

We went the longer route to get there as I wanted to walk through the Cite Floral area - somewhere we only discovered last September.

We reached the park

It was time for a drink - my apple drink was delicious - hubby had a very fizzy Coke. It had warmed up a little bit for our last day.
This is the Kiosk we visited....
..and this was the view we had.
Once around the lake area for our walk
There was a yoga class taking place in the bandstand

We caught sight of the black swan and walked around to get closer.
Look at that red beak Elizabeth!

The tulips were quite a way ahead of us in the UK

Time to head back towards the hotel.
We saw lots of lovely street art on the way......
.. and we had one of the best meals of the whole holiday - but that's for next week, along with more street art and some of the more unusual shots of Paris. Oh and some great news!

Thanks for looking and Happy T Day, Chris
