T Stands for.....The Parsonage ...and more

 Hi everyone, Spring does seem to be here, at least for a while, colder weather is predicted for the weekend. Lets hope that the folk who planned on crowding onto the beaches are put off - we still have a long way to go to be safe enough for such closeness to others.

We have mostly been staying in and some days have been spent sharing our table to make our Wanderlust pages.

I used shades of blue....

...and hubby used shades of green.....no surprises there!

The lesson by Mary Beth Shaw was all about creating blocks but also how to extend supplies. I loved making these little collages.

We decided to take a walk at one of our favourite gardens and as its only a couple of miles away (one if we walk by the river)means that we can still stay local.

The Parsonage gardens are beautiful and until last year we had never heard of them!

This time last year we were in lockdown so missed the Spring colours there. I can tell you that they are beautiful and will mostly speak for themselves.

From here we took the short walk down to one of the entrances to Fletcher Moss Park.

The pond area is already looking better than it did two weeks ago.

We walked past this wall where the shoots were just sprouting..and past the little roundabout.

We walked round to the cafe area and picked up a coffee...and walked back to...The Parsonage to drink it

As you can see quite a few folk around now but still lots of free benches.

Hello Spring at TIOT!

At last we are getting some Spring weather which means that we can say 'Hello Spring' at  Try It On Tuesday. The Design Team all have different ways of saying their 'Hellos' so do take a look here.

I made a journal page after visiting one of our favourite gardens and I got to see my first Iris of the year.

We missed the Iris season last year and by the time Lockdown was over they had all died off.

I used some sprays and some stencils by Aall and Create as a background for Francoise Read's Iris stamps for Woodware. I stamped and fussy cut some hexagons and punched some others.

Here is the Iris clump I found flowering at Fletcher Moss. You can see more on my blogpost later today.

Thees are only miniature Iris, we will be going to Styal Mill next moth to see the larger varieties.

Hi everyone, I've been racing around bit lately, some for mundane reasons and others for purely having fun! Unfortunately blogging wasn't on the list for a couple of days! 

I have another journal page for Sheila's 'A Single Flower' theme at Art Journal Journey.

I love this Crafty Individual flower designed by Sharon Bates. Here it is on a mop up page to which I added some more paint and some stamping and stencilling. The Be Brave words came from a piece of designer paper I have cut up to use.

That's it for today, hubby has cooked our evening meal to give me some time!

T stands for.....too late

 Hi everyone, I'm at the 'I can't believe how poorly I must have been because I feel SO much better now' stage! Thank you for all your good wishes.

I have a journal page for Sheila's 'A Single Flower' theme at Art Journal Journey.  and my first too late

 My woolly brain forgot to post this on St Patricks Day. 

The background was made with some spraying with Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays, which I also persuaded to drip down the page. I'm still getting used to these but I like them a lot and will be buying more!

I used ink through some Aall and Create and Dina Wakley stencils and I used black and white pens to draw some circles and scribble.

I stamped and fussy cut a Brigit Koopsen tulip, some Dina leaves and the scribbly bird.

The 'Irish Blessing' tissue quote is from a Dina set of tissue papers.

I also made a 'Things With Wings' tag for Tag Tuesday - but I see I am too late!(confusing as it's only 8.00pm on Monday here!)

I used an old Elusive Images stamp onto my tag and then stamped, coloured and fussy cut the butterfly again to get a flying butterfly

You may have seen that we managed to visit Dunham Massey - we still have to book own advance on line - not quiet the same as getting up on a nice day and saying 'Where shall we go?' but I think this is the way it will be for a while yet! It is one of the most local to where we live and it was great to get out and have a walk in the fresh air rather than around the roads near the Motorway.

We could see the daffodils in the gardens as we walked up to the gate

There really are hundreds throughout the gardens

I was pleased to see that one or two snowdrops were still flowering just a shame to be too late to see them all

Aconites or Celandines - not sure what to call these

I didn't expect to see Tulips in bloom...but there was...

...just one!

This poor tree seems to have had a bad Winter

You might remember seeing this field flooded - it looks as though the banks have been widened.

The cafe was open for takeaway coffee but we're sticking with homemade coffee from our flask at the moment - so I'll join Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands for Tuesday with our view in the carpark and our coffee cups from home.

I think you can guess the owl mug is hubby's

I am also going to be arriving too late at some of your T posts from last week, I do apologise but time just ran out!
