WOYWW 369 ...with additional photos

I can't believe how quickly last week whizzed by - I didn't join in last week as I wasn't sure how I would be able to return visits…..Oh!What am I talking about? WOYWW of course, at the moment hosted by Lunch Lady Jan while Julia carries on up the road of recovery! 
I'm not sure whether this is allowed but I have two desks to show you…
Last week I was going to show you the beautiful little package I received from Michelle…

This week I have some treats from Woolfest(photos in the post before this one)

  

The stencils at the bottom only cost me £2 each and as you can see the Pink Pig sketchbooks were at a bargain price - I had been waiting for the shop at the Rheged centre to get the sizes I like back in stock! The rest of the treats were mainly fabrics for making brooches although …do you see the brayer?….free with a small round Gelliplate that also happened to be a very good price!

Yesterday I promised some photos that I took around the caravan..

The first night we spent there I looked out at around quarter to midnight to see this beautiful sky.
The next night was a little cloudy but still beautiful

While I was taking photos a Barn Owl flew past - I was so shocked, we had no idea that there was one around, so when I told the Warden's wife she was also excited!

These were taken at 4.00am - I had to get up - you know, call of nature, and when I looked out this looked so beautiful.

At around 6.00am it was like this looking down the road in the caravan park.
 I also promised some bird photos

 The Dunnock is a regular visitor

 The male Blackbird was on feeding duties for his two offspring - the nest was in our hedge and we had watched him on feeding duties for a few weeks - we think first for the female, then for the babies!  

The Robin tried to get the last out of the coconut!

 …found his brothers and sisters..and waited for food..

while the adults helped themselves.

We woke up to find the feeder in the middle of the lawn - we had heard crows in the tree outside our bedroom - we think they were the cheerleaders for the culprit who pulled this off!
As you can see - the old bird table was the worst for wear…we bought a new one!

 Oh Dear! I do hope you are still here…I do tend to ramble don't I?

T stands for time at home….

…and another photo heavy post if you are up for it?

Yes! We are at home…not for long, but time enough to attend a meeting this morning - with an interior designer - we have plans here at our retirement complex of a refurbishment - although not all at once! A few of us looked at the mood boards this morning and I must say I love them, but there will be mutterings I am sure!!

So what else…a journal page ..that started like this..

…went to this, by using some gesso, stamps and texture paste...

 …and finished like this. Some more stamping, TH Remnant rubs, scraps, and some Crayola Twistables (I don't have Distress crayons but from what I have seen they are very similar - you just have to blend your own colours) 
As you may know I love my travels in Europe - my question is "What Now?" We will have to wait and see!

I am here for T Stands For Tuesday with Bluebeard and Elizabeth,

 so I shall start with my coffee and scone that we had on the way back from Woolfest last week.

We took the scenic route back(yes there are photos below this!)via Grasmere and called in at the garden centre. The only thing was, these two were keeping a beady eye on us for dropped crumbs. Fortunately someone at another table decided to be kind to them and they didn't stay there for too long!

Okay, Woolfest didn't disappoint, although the Ceilidh band that hubby enjoyed so much wan't there. However, there was something we both enjoyed as much..

 ..CUkes.. Cockermouth ukulele band - a lot of folk were singing along, including me, to a good medley of Beatles, Lonnie Donegan and other 60's songs as well as traditional uke songs!

The young lady on the right is Emma Ball, a very talented knitwear designer, standing by one of her designs. She was there as a guest of Emily Foulds wool…Oh! if only I was a real knitter…there was an amazing selection of wool.

So the trip home took us past Bassenthwaite…

….through some lovely scenery down past Rydal Water and into Grasmere.

A journal page

We have been quite busy this weekend and although we should have been tending the garden at our caravan Woolfest was too good to miss, and we wanted to visit the Silverdale Art Trail. The latter event was a bit of a drippy wet affair as the heavens seemed to open every time we stopped the car to visit a venue! We then got ourselves in the middle of a traffic jam in the country lanes!

I have also had some time to play in my journal…it really was too wet to do any gardening when we got back! 

The page has been around for a while, in various states of bits and pieces of scraps, paint and texture paste through a selection of stencils being added.
I stamped part of an Indigoblu Lake District map onto a scrap of deli paper and stuck it on with matte media gel - it didn't take very well but there it was…done!
I then used the other part of the scrap and painted one side with Paper Artsy Fresco paint - Wisteria and stamped the Visible Image Dragonfly on the reverse . The sentiment from the same set was stamped onto a piece of rescued napkin from one of our outings in France last year.

Swap pages from Norma

I'm still scheduling posts.
Today we have plans to go on the Silverdale Art Trail. Every year the artists in the area near the caravan have open studios and art exhibitions going on over the whole weekend. We missed last years so hope that the weather is kind while we go today!

A few weeks ago I received both Elizabeth's and Norma's pages on the same day - Elizabeth had posted hers early and Normas's had taken a time to get here. I showed you Elizabeth's in the post here as she had requested that I take a specific photo for her of one she had not got.
Today I will show you the beautiful pages Norma sent me.

This opens out into three circular pages with lovely garden quotes on. The other one has blank pages.

 There was also a little packet containing the gorgeous hatted ladies along with the tag.

Words cannot express how touched I am that this beautiful, precious item now belongs to me - Thank You Norma!!
