It started with....

...a magazine that I bought for £1.20 at the supermarket - a fashion magazine! The girl on this page was the first to catch my eye as I love the jumper and the colour combination.
I just happened to have a page in my square journal that had originally had some turquoise added from a painty stencil.
I had painted over with some pink paint and added some AALL and Create background stamps and some flowers from Visible Image stamps.

I added some white doodling to echo the colour of her shoes and then just happened to have a red butterfly and a  small oriental looking image from another magazine that picked up the colours! I cut out some rough circle shapes and aded them to the page and added the butterfly wings to the girl!
It didn't look quite right so I added some pen around the insides of the circles and used a water soluble pencil to add a shadow around the girl to make her stand out more!

This is of course my latest page for Art Journal Journey - Art For Arts Sake!

Thanks for looking, Chrisx

You are such a pro as you achieved so much depth at the page with the last few additions and it looks absolutely artsy! I like that you showed the last image - I think that many girls don't try to give a bit much more depth to their works because they are afraid of messing it up. But it makes such a difference. I adore the colour combination . Not just her outfit but even more the whole concept of your page! ADORABLE! You are a wonderful host again! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Big hugs and happy Thursday for you!

I know how very late I am visiting Chris, but I'm trying to catch up today, even though I still have chills and a morbid cough. I am in love with this. I love the colors, the background that shows such movement, and yes, the girl's outfit, too. I'd wear that!! What a great spread for your theme at Art Journal Journey.
