Keeping Cool for AJJ

Phew!! Yes, it's still hot here in the UK so I guess that everyone else is as hot as I am! From what I am reading the US is getting it too so Happy Independence Day - enjoy your holiday!

Before I show you my journal page I must say a big Thank you to everyone for your kind comments on my blog, If I haven't already I will be around soon!

I have a cool page for you, as in under the sea cool!
I started my page with some Dylusions sprays.

I stamped and heat embossed in white some Paper Artsy Scrapcosy undersea shells and weeds, next I stamped some more using Distress oxides - I was able to wipe ink off the white embossing so that they were in the background.
My next thought was that I would have fish swimming around but when I saw that two of the fish stamps faced the same way.....
...I made masks so that I could turn them into a shoal!
I stamped another type of fish on to card and coloured it with Distress markers which I then coated in Glossy Accents - really pleased with the shine!

I added some 'bubbles' and used one of my new Tim Holtz Snarky stickers

I am linking to Art Journal Journey for Art For Arts Sake!!

Thanks for looking, Chris
I have been having problems with e-mails appearing in my inbox saying that Delivery Status Notification comments have been blocked to some folk! I have no idea what this means and decided to set up a g-mail account which now seems to make me unknown so until I can find to more please bear with me!
Oh! and any suggestions as to why this is happening will be most welcome! Chrisx

I've been getting e-mail from the UK back saying it (mine) was SPAM. It was very frustrating, and I hope we can correct it soon.

Other than that, I adore your beautiful journal entry. The idea of not fitting in is sort of my mantra! I think the Glossy Accents made the fish really shine. I need some of that product. And what a fabulous save using the masks, too. Thanks for this beautiful Art Journal Journey entry, Chris. Loving this theme.

Those fish are cool- as in a really great art page and also as in being not so hot-unless it is a heated tank of water of course. I like this page a lot Chris. Hugs-Erika

Fabulous page, Chris! I love very element of it: the glossy colorful fish, the phrase, the white embossed seaweeds ... everything.

Re your email problem: you say you opened a Gmail account to try and fix the problem but you didn't mention what service you changed from. Unfortunately, you might have the same problem with Gmail. If you often send bulk emails, the mail service spam protection eventually kicks in and starts blocking mail to some or all of the recipients. Here's something from the Gmail help forum to explain.

"Regular sending of messages to multiple recipients will result in blocking of the messages to one or more of the recipients if one or more recipients have previously reported a message from you as Spam. The key elements are regular, multiple and Spam reports." https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/gmail/YBhhUZ2GBHc

I know, on occasion, I've accidentally hit the spam button when I only meant to delete or move a message in my in-box. I guess I'm not the only one.

It may solve the problem if you email each individual who can't receive your messages any more and ask them to whitelist your email address.

"If [you] ask your email provider to unblock or whitelist an email address, email from that address will be more likely to get through. Here is an explanation of how to do that for Gmail, Outlook.com or Yahoo! Mail."
http://onlinegroups.net/blog/2014/02/25/how-to-whitelist-an-email-address/

Hope this helps.

Sorry, cannot help with your problem but I have to say I love this page. The shoal is clever and very effective but the single coloured fish! I honestly thought it was cut from a magazine - congratulations on your colouring and the sheen on it adds to the overall effect. Brilliant!
