I discovered a new way to make a tape transfer!
I use an old plastic insert from a lunchbox as my palette when I am painting and quite by chance one day I picked up some paint with a some clear tape and since then have had some pretty random bits of tape to use in my journals..but what if..I thought...I make some patterns in the paint remaining ...so that's what I did with a stamp(which I cleaned straight way afterwards each time!!
The paint built up a little and today I decided to lift some off.
I made small pieces and stuck them on my page over some mop up green oxide ink!
I spritzed some water over some Distress oxides mixed with a little gold paint to get a shimmer on my paper
I stamped a Lynne Perella image on the paper and also on my page...
..and used part of another LP stamp around the edge of my page
I stuck the blue image over the top of the one on the page
As you can see the page is quite shiny.
It is also my latest page for Art For Arts Sake at Art Journal Journey
As it's Tuesday I am here to join Bluebeard and Elizabeth for T Stands For Tuesday.
We have been out and about as some of you may know but no photos so I am taking you back to Paris.
This was at a cafe that we stopped at after I had tripped over after taking a photo of this garden....
..which was being made on reclaimed land - it should look great in a few years time.
Just after taking this photo I didn't notice the dip in the pavement around a tree and did a slow motion fall! I grazed my elbow a bit but felt a bit wobbly so we stopped so I could sit down at the first place we came to!
I was fine and we went on to see Notre Dame..
...these musicians...
and this...
I am very late getting here so I will visit tomorrow!
Thanks for looking, Chris

Happy T Day Hugs
Lovely art page! Who would have thought you used tape? It just turned out beautiful. I love you taking us back to Paris! We were there for our 25th back in 1991! Loved the metro and the street musicians! Thanks for the memories! Happy T Day!
Gorgeous page Chris. How do you like that Versafine Clair ink? I love your tape transfer too. And Paris photos-what could be better. Hope it was a great T day. Hugs-Erika
Talk about being late. I didn't realize you had posted until just now. I'm working on an AJJ piece now, and needed to give my hand a rest.
I really like your paint and tape transfer. Reminds me of what some people do with their gelli plates. This is gorgeous, and of course I love that focal stamp you used. That blue really pops against the shiny tape. It is a beautiful journal page, and I am SO glad you experimented and made this for your theme at Art Journal Journey.
I'm also glad you took us back to Paris. Those real bottles of coke really get me. Is that lemon in your cokes? HMMM.
I remember when you fell and am delighted to see you were only sore and nothing was broken. Notre Dame is gorgeous and so areALL your photos. Thanks for sharing your beautiful art, your fabulous Paris photos, and your coke with us for T this Tuesday. Yes, it's still Tuesday in my world!
Pleased to see some more pics from Paris! the metro signs are so pretty aren't they!
I loved to see this gorgeous technique you used! How clever and that background looks fantastic and you had the best idea for finishing the page with the perfectly fitting stamps! You really inspire us so much this month ! Thank you for yet another fabulous entry to your great theme dear Chris! And I love to see Paris photos again! Gosh - it was really good that you didn't break anything!
Have a great Wednesday! I am also a bit late this time for TSFT - sorry!
Hugs, Susi
How creative! It takes a knowing eye to come up with ideas like this :) I'm sorry you had that fall but am glad it didn't put a damper on this wonderful outing! Happy T Tuesday!
so glad you are ok after your 'little trip!' that can definitely be unsettling. Loved to see the stages of your journal page...brilliant idea to do the paint transfers, and I adore Lynn P.'s stamps and images...you've created a wonderful piece. I'm late too, but happy T day! ♥

almost missed your T post...I haven't done tape transfers in years. Funny how you can forget about techniques and lo and behold they reappear:) Glad you weren't hurt too bad in Paris and were able to continue your adventures. I love Notre Dame and it's always fun to come across musicians in the streets. Thanks for sharing and happy belated T day!
