Through the portal!!!

Good Evening! We managed a few days away at out caravan without too much rain but it is good to be back to where I can get a steady(ish) connection!

I don't know whether anyone used to watch a series on Saturday nights called 'Primeval'? The stories were a bit far fetched - about travelling in time via anomalies - but we used to watch a)because we liked the actors in it, b)because our grandson used to visit at weekends and he liked the dinosaurs/fantastic beasts that used to be   featured and c) because there's nothing like a bit of fantasy on a Saturday night!!!
Of course we also used to watch Doctor Who travelling through time too!
I found this quote at the bottom of a notebook I used to use and immediately thought of Time Travel!
Kim Dellow's stencil became my anomaly - I used Copper paint over a Distress Oxides background!

Poor Maudie, she is looking perplexed because a creature grabbed her hand and now she can't get it back by her side - hopefully when the effects wear off she will be able to pull her own boots off!

I used some white napkin and some watered down silver paint to give a sheen where she just managed to get back through the anomaly.
I aded some insect type doodling along the edge and gave Maudie somewhere to land too!
I was tempted to add the words by typing them out on the computer but decided that as my handwriting requires more practice to write them out instead!

I am adding this to the link to Art Journal Journey for Jo's Poetry In Motion theme!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Wow, that's such a fantastic page and story 😁. The quote is wonderful and I love that you connected it with time travel, I think your handwriting is fab and the copper portal is amazing. I love the way you have created the sheen around Maudie too, it reminds me of Star Trek when they use to be beamed up by the transporter machine (grin!) - perfect! I'm so glad you shared your wonderful page at Art Journal Journey! Thanks for the smiles and wishing you a great start to the week! J 😊

What fun, Chris. I also hope Maudie finds her way back home. Perhaps she'll find a blue phone box and dial home (grin). I got a good laugh and enjoyed the time travel, too.

I don't remember Primeval (or at least, watching it) but do enjoy Dr Who. Love your page!

Maudie really makes the page. I love the copper. I wonder where in time she has been and where she might go next. :) Erika

Ooh - your coppery anomaly is so effective - swirls of atoms, past and future, to whisk us away into another time. I adore your time-traveller too, as well as the quote... Einstein is the best!!
