WOYWW 486

Hi everyone! I am joining Julia at the Stamping Ground our wonderful hostess of Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday!
My desk was a bit of a mess this morning....
...I had been making this page yesterday for Art Journal Journey where Yvonne's theme of 'A World Of Fantasy' still has a few days to run.
I love Autumn and this song - as we travelled by train through Hungary, Austria and the Czech Republic the leaves were changing up in the mountains - I would have loved to stay and see them fully changed but it's only a fantasy...and it was turning colder!
Photos are here if you wish to see them.
We had a spur of the moment trip to the cinema when we found that Ocean's 8 was showing on Silver Screen (for seniors) at the Odeon!
Well worth seeing and you may remember me telling you before, these Odeon showings only cost £3 each and include a hot drink and a biscuit!
There were lots of thrills (and laughs) and as bonus Richard Armitage is in it!!!

Of course this meant that bits of the napkin I used, and the sheet of leaves plus all the inks etc were left until this morning as we also added little shopping trip to our afternoon too, with a reviving cup of coffee included at M and S!!

I realised that I hadn't shown my photos of the fabulous crop day we had and though it's a little late here are a few!
Lots of photos being taken everywhere
Doug taking a photo of Shaz with Annie and Jo - Chris looking on!
Shaz and ShazinOz
I caught Chris, Maggie(our wonderful hostess for the day!), Sarah and Chris
Neet and Jan grabbing their chances!!
It was great to meet Annie and Jo at last and as a bonus Heather too!
This was the scene as we headed home - via the seafront!!
Since we came back from our holiday we have been catching up on the TV programmes we have recorded on TIVO!
Wow! What an ending to The Bodyguard!
We have also been enjoying a series that started while we were were away - Killing Eve - although not sure that we should be enjoying something about a female assassin!

Wishing everyone a great week, I will do my best to get round to everyone!
Thanks for looking, Chrisx

Oh I'm so glad I refreshed before leaving Julia's or I wouldn't have caught your post Chris. Funnily enough, I was listening to some of the tracks off Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds album on the way home from the crop (including forever autumn). Great page and good to see the photos. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2

great to see some more pics of the crop - I love how although it's the same people in all of them they all look completely different, depending on your viewpoint. your trip really sounds fabulous - I went to Kew again today (have a few days off) and the weather was stunning.
Lots of gorgeous colour. Helen #7

Super journal page! I love War of the Worlds, went to a live show some years back - superb!! Liam Neeson spoke the narrative, different accent to Richard Burton!

Hi Chris, I'm catching up today so enjoyed seeing you photos from Budapest and how nice to see your photos from the crop too. Happy memories of a lovely day. Your journal page is beautiful - I love autumn too, shame it's followed so closely by winter. Love the background of leaves and berries - rather like the rowans in my garden at the moment. The ending to The Bodyguard was edge-of-the-seat stuff but I'm finding the female assassin in Killing Eve just too awful to enjoy. Hugs, Elizabeth x #19

Heavens, I completely forgot to read Julia's blog today. I am apparently in my own little world.

Those are wonderful photos from the crop. So glad you shared them. I know T had fun, too!

I guess the shows you are talking about are British, because I've never heard of The Bodyguard or Killing Eve.

LOVED, loved, loved your autumn inspired fantasy. SO glad you know it's AUTUMN and NOT FALL. I cringe every time someone calls this season fall. Your journal entry is perfect for Yvonne's theme, and it's so good to see you back joining us at Art Journal Journey.

First of all Chris, thank you for creating the fantastic page for Art Journal Journey. I really liked the words you added and it must have been lovely to see the changing scenes of autumn as you traveled by train on your holiday.
Super photos from your crop, it looks like you were all having a super time.

Happy Belated WOYWW. I love that journal page - and the song lyrics. Thank you for sharing photos of the crop. We managed to not watch The Bodyguard (we were catching up with F1 when it started and then I kept seeing clips on Gogglebox, but thinking of watching the box set), and also didn't see Killing Eve when it started, but after seeing lots of people raving about it, I have downloaded the first one. Wow Chris. That is an amazing seaside view. And your page really celebrates the beauty of fall/ Those TH found relatives are the best, aren't they? I love seeing your messing desk as mine is about the same but for some reason, I work more creatively when it looks like this. Hugs-Erika

Hi Chris, the holiday sounds amazing, we love that song too. Going to see war of the Worlds in Birmingham in December, 2nd time, it's so good! Love the crop photos, different to all the ones I've seen so far. We've not seen Bodyguard yet, but will be catching that one on Amazon, and Killing Eve sounds interesting too. Have a lovely week, hugs, Shaz #10 X

We enjoyed Killing Eve and The Bodyguard final episode was watched between dozes today. We only got back at 3 this morning from our week in |Spain. Much too hot for me so very little sleep was had at night as the villa did not have air con.
Thanks for the photos from the Crop - some different ones there - well done you.
Love your Autumn page - must pop along to the site and see it there. Can see how your trip helped with the inspiration for this one and the |TH little girl is just perfect.
Hugs, Neet xx 27 (late because I never asked anyone to link me - dopey me)

Hi Chris - but there's still room on your desk for crafting - that's the important thing... Great photos of the crop, already seems like ages ago, doesn't it?! Glad you had a good time away.
Take care. God bless.

I love your autumnal page - she's like a fairy in a magical garden - and that song is a real earworm for me (thanks for that!), but I do love it. Great to see you all having such fun at the crop.

(Oh, after a foul weather forecast for my trip, I've had a week of the most glorious sunshine here in CZ (temps up around the 20 mark, so positively balmy) and it's mostly due to continue, though chillier from now on - I feel so lucky.)
