In the night!

I haven't been in my craft room as much lately and when I have I have been trying to get ahead on some projects!

Of course, any spare time I get I spend playing in my journals! When I saw Jo's fabulous new theme Poetry In Motion at Art Journal Journey lots of things came to mind.
As usual this began as a mop up page and over the months(!) has had bits added!
However this morning saw the quickest finish of a page ever!
The tag was hanging around on my desk and I printed off the poem by William Brighty Rands - who was also famous for his nursery rhymes for children in the Victorian era!
The cat is a Lavinia stamp and he(sorry, must be a he!) is standing on some book print with some appropriate words that I found on the first piece of paper I picked up!

I would also like to join in at Moo Mania and More where the theme 'Cats' still has a few days to go!

Thanks for looking, Chris

What a wonderful poem and the colours of your mop up page worked so well to depict your handsome (as he must be a "he" - grin!) cat at night. I love the line "as sleek as jam", it made me smile 😁. The little details you have added are amazing too, like the book print he is standing on and his fur and whiskers! Thank you for joining in the fun and taking the time to create such a fantastic page for Art Journal Journey! Enjoy your week! J 😊

Amazing "quick" page - I adore your always so pretty mop up page backgrounds Chris!
The poem is fab and the Lavinia stamp cat looks impressive on it's poetry way!
Love to see your fab page not only linked to AJJ but also shared with Moo Mania & More!
You are simply the best!
Thank you !
Enjoy the days of summer Chris!

I wish a journal page could come together for me as well as this one did for you. I'm really struggling with this theme, but I simply adore what you created. HE is definitely a beautiful cat.

Cool page Chris. I love the poem and the cat image is great too. I almost looks like you have bits of lace on it. That stamp really adds a lot of texture. Hugs-Erika

How fabulous to find those words for your Tom Cat to stand on - yes, he looks a male. What a fab cat stamp too and a perfect poem and page to act as a backdrop.
Love your journal page.

I agree he's a he... I don't know why but he is! What a wonderful stamp he is too! Love the poem, not encountered that before, and the shimmering accents in the murky night of the page are wonderful!

Holy spumoni, Chris. I just got your fabulous gift and ATC in the mail. I already opened it and am in the process of photographing it. You are far, far, far, far, far too good to me. That's especially true after the puny gift and ATC I sent YOU.
