I don't suppose I should really be making another entry for Elizabeth's great 'Back To School' topic at AJJ as I have not really had a lot of time to look at, let alone make a comment at so many blogs! My only excuse is I am just loving this topic!
This page started as a a mop up page that had some more ink added. I wanted to show the wide range of subjects taught in schools, although I did start with an idea about the connections between Art and Science - as you can see by the use of the Indigoblu periodic table and the paintbrushes and tubes of paint - somehow I found myself adding more subjects along the way. The image of the 'school' came from a bargain book of certificates that I have had for ages but not cut into - it was cheaper than most magazines!
I used my a brown Crayola Twistable to add some more colour around the images.
Elizabeth has had such inspiring pages on her blog - I'm sure everyone has enjoyed seeing them all! A truly fabulous topic too Elizabeth!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Yes, Chris, I love this page you created. The background is fantastic with the periodic table of the elements. This is beautiful and it has lots of autumn colors, too. I'm really impressed with the paint brushes and paint you applied so beautifully, as well as the school you found in that book. It was a gem. Thanks for sharing this with us and AJJ!

Beautiful page Chris, so many different elements, yet it has a calm feel to it, - beautifully put together and great use of a mop up page!

A wonderful page Chris-- so many elements and layers but so calming as a whole! Just fab!
Don't worry about commenting - the important thing is to relax and create and have fun and be with us.... comments are nice - but no requirement to take part of the fun!

I am all for art and science! It is true they do go together though so few people think so. Think of biological sketches, the way artists used to mix paints is all chemistry. I am loving this piece Chrissie, and loving this theme like you. I can't believe it is almost October. Hugs-Erika

Oh what a wonderful collage you created.
It's brilliant Chris.
It almost looks "digitally" done as everything blends so seamlessly.
I feel the way you do about not commenting.
That has actually stopped me from joining in different challenges.
It just doesn't feel right to me to not make it around to everyone.
AJJ keeps me busy and has such a lot of amazing creativity.
Happy beginning of the weekend to you.

An absolute Joy of a page... the colours, the images, the layers - this is a new favourite for me, I think.
