T stands for a trip out!

I am so late getting here for tea…some of you may already be in bed!!
I am trying to catch up on chores and crafting as I have a day of meetings on Thursday!!
We had a lovely long weekend away at our caravan, although we didn't rest there long!
Friday took us to Kirby Lonsdale, one of our favourite places that is quite near to drive to. We parked at Devils Bridge and decided to walk along by the River Lune to the town and do a round trip.
It was windy to start with but once we were down by the river the wind dropped.

This is Devils Bridge and you can see the road bridge through the archway
The rest of the photos here are roughly in order

Halfway up the steps I decide to take a couple of photos
We had a short walk along to Ruskin's View

and then walked through the church yard and back to the car.

One last look over the bridge
We did stop at a cafe but …just forgot to take photos there, so since I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T

I will show you one of our lovely meals from France!

This was one of the restaurants that my SIL and hubby took us to - I love the ladder with missing rungs!! Our drink was, of course, water!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Update on sugar levels - even with reduced medication it is staying down - YAY!!

Wonderful photos, thanks so much for sharing. Your link at Elisabeth's leads back to her blog, not yours! Glad your sugar levels are lower, but don't eat too much of that delicious cake! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

Chris, it may be late there, but your link goes back to MY blog, not your post. I am unable to change it myself.

I always love it when you are sharing photos of your area. I've noticed (and on Valerie's blog, too) how close your buildings are to the street. We have sidewalks and curbs, so it always strikes me odd when I see buildings so close to a motorway. You shared some wonderful photos, though, and the river scenes were gorgeous.

Thanks for sharing your French food and drink with us, as well as your awesome photos of your time out and about with us for T this Tuesday. It's also great to read about your lower sugar levels. That's really GREAT news.

What a beautiful day out you had--the photos are lovely! Ruskin's view reminds me of an area not too far from us. I'll have to see if our daughter wants to go hiking this weekend and get some photos of it. Congrats on the levels staying low--great news!

Congratulations on your low bloodsugar levels. That must be such a relief!
Thanks for taking us on the walk. Lovely photos. I really enjoyed 'walking' along the tow path and seeing something of the town.

Enjoyed walking with you. Such a pretty area to spend time in. The name Devil's Bridge caught my eye. Is there a story behind that?

It's almost as good as having had a day out myself! Wonderful photos from a lovely day out. and good-looking French food too. Cestina has a ladder just like that in her courtyard in the Czech Republic ... still there from the days when part of her house was a cow-shed!
