Facing up to it!

I have often drawn faces but I am shy about showing them, especially knowing there are so many wonderful artists(especially Susi, Valerie and Julie Ann) that I know in Blogland!
So I am holding my breath and jumping straight in with a sketch I made a while ago!
I have given her a wall with some rather prickly plants climbing up it (Paper Artsy Hot Picks1004)

Poor girl has one eye larger than the other…or she is trying to see past her fringe and has opened it wider!!??

I am daring to enter her in the Paper Artsy Challenge Topic 19 - Faces

Thanks for looking, Chris

Hello Chris, it's me! I should be asleep, but I'm just peeking at everyone's faces on the PA challenge! I love your girl. Her face is lovely and very kind-looking and I'm so glad you dared to show her to the world. I would not have noticed she had one eye slightly larger if you had not mentioned it! I'm sorry I've been so behind with commenting on my friends' blogs lately, but there never seem to be enough hours in the day! Lovely to see you linking up to PA. xx

Love your girl, her face is very interesting, she looks wide awake, unlike me just now. Hugs, Valerie

Every friend I have (and I mean EVERY) tells me they can't see how I can see since my bangs hang into my eyes. Not sure what I would do if my forehead showed. So I can relate to your lady. I'm sure that's a valid excuse, too. Of course, my curls (errrrr bangs) go completely across my forehead, so that may be why both my eyes are only half open.

This is a very beautiful face and set in a great background. I never felt brave enough to show my face efforts until very recently but it does encourage me to try more.

Love Chrissie xx

Love all the elements of this page, and the overlapping is so effective too. Brilliant xx

She's charming - such a soft, warm expression in those eyes, which contrasts beautifully with the prickly plants.

My faces are not perfect either, but that is part of the charm. I find getting 2 eyes the same is impossible, but hey ho. It's all part of learning about it, right?! Good for you for making a fab start and I'm sure you will be happier with what you do the more faces you make. One eye at a time! Lol
