Two weeks ago!

I can't believe it's two whole weeks since we headed to Version Scrap Paris!
The venue is a hall in the middle of Parc St Vincennes, nearby is Chateau Vincennes...
......where hubby spent some of his day, having ventured in with me to start with and then came back for a lunch and then coffee at the end of the day!
I was lucky to have been given some entry tickets by Mark and Leandra of Paper Artsy.
Here they both are near the end of the first day! I can totally understand why they are giving up attending shows, this was the first day of 3! The Paper Artsy Stand was huge (and full of goodies of course)and they had been there since 9am and the show didn't close until 6pm! They had also been there the evening before for special opening! I didn't ask how long it took them to set everything up!
Before I took the photo I asked them to think of all the extra time they would have next year!!
Here is Raquel (Scrapcosy)demo-ing - You can see how busy the stand was even late in the day - earlier I could hardly see her.

I was lucky to meeting up with two friends, Coco and Sylvie who are on Instagram (they are on Crafty Individuals DT so you may know their names) so we arranged to meet by the Paper Artsy stand!
I had worried that my French wouldn't be good enough but Coco assured me later in the day that my French was 'just a little bad'!(I think that's what she said!)
We got by with a combination of French and English - until we met up with other French ladies at lunch time and I really had to concentrate as they did not speak English!
I also met Sophie who is on Instagram, who recognised my face and came to say hello while I was having a drink!
I took a selfie(my arms aren't long enough!
We had a good photo session after lunch...with much laughter!!
On the left is Giselle,a friend of Sylvie, then Coco, me and
Sylvie! I got up from these steps in a quite ungraceful manner!!
We spent a lot of time walking around the show together and then separately with plans to meet up again occasionally!
The show was busy but because of the layout it is not as crowded as some UK shows.

Look who else I found - Ab from AALL and Create who made me laugh as I took this photo so it is bit blurred!
After goodbyes to everyone (and plans for next year maybe?) we headed out and I took some final photos!

I'm guessing you would like to see what I spent my money on...
This is most of what I bought at the show - I had put some small text stamps away already when I took this.
I also bought some more things at craft shops in Paris which I will show you soon!

Thanks for looking, Chris

I wonder what security is like at these shows. It would be hard to keep track of all the people and merchandise, while trying to create make and takes. I know PaperArtsy must make a lot of money and do a lot of business at these shows, but I can now see why they would give it up.

I am in LOVE with your stencils. You got some really great things, and of course, I know you can't let a single flower pass you by (grin).

Thanks for taking me to this beautiful place and event.

Thank you so much for sharing your trip. I've always been tempted by Version Scrap, and I'd love to meet up with Coco - but now that PA won't be going any more, it's less likely that I'll go, I expect. Looks like you had a great time.
