Architecture - a first attempt!

The theme at Art Journal Journey is Architecture - chosen by Sheila. I have seen so many wonderful digital compositions I decided to have a go myself using Printshop on my Mac.It has taken quite a time as I kept losing the edge of the image and had a black line down the side - to show you I have printed it out, cut off the black edge and photographed in my journal.
the background is a page from my journal - ready to use for something else….
the image is one of the photographs I took in Edinburgh
the birds and the quote are from Printshop.

I think I need more practice so you may see more of this style!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Lovely piece, and I like that you printed it out for your journal, that makes it much nicer. Thanks for joining us again at Art Journal Journey, hugs, Valerie

This is seriously good, I am so impressed with the way you merged the photo into your journal page. It's such a good result - like looking through an old tumbledown wall to see, magically, a perfect interior.

I think you already have digital mastered far better than I could. I'm super impressed. Of course, I love that you used your own photo, and the entire piece works so well for AJJ's challenge this month.

Looks like a great job to me. I find those programs so overwhelming some times that I just don't go there. Looking forward to more digital work from you. xox
