Hi everyone, the post title refers to a distraction while on our trip yesterday and some distractions from the pain I am in at the moment!
All will be explained at TSFT on Tuesday!
I hope you like this page. It's for Art Journal Journey and Erika's 'In the Sky/In the air' theme
I used a Lavinia stamp I bought last week at Happy Stampers and a set of stamps I have here at our caravan. I used another of my inky backgrounds in my square journal this time!
I drew in some seed heads floating up in the air and then doodle wrote 'flying without wings' around the edge of the page.
The distraction yesterday was blowing a Dandelion clock, today I made this page and yesterday we had this beautiful sight....
Thanks for looking, please excuse me for not spending long on the laptop! Chris

That is a gorgeous photo of the sun Chris, and your journal page is also gorgeous. What a great page for the In the Air/In the Sky challenge. Dandelion seeds floating in the air is an amazing idea. I love your new stamp. It is really fun and could create some magical pages. Thanks so much for this fun page and your support. Hugs-Erika

Pain makes everything harder :( I do like that stamp and what you made with it. Lovely! And the words are perfect. Your photo of that beautiful sight warms my heart.

I hope you have your pain under control Chris, it sounds like you are not to well at the moment.

I am SO sorry to read you are in pain. That makes me very sad.
I hope I don't gross you out, but when I saw the images, I thought of sperm flying through the sky. Can't unthink the image, but the rest of it is wonderful. And since it helped to distract you from pain, that makes it even more special for me. Thanks for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journal Journey honoring Erika's theme.
Wow, what a stunning page! I love love love the background and those black silhouettes and doodles look so magical 😊. I hope you are ok, take care and enjoy your week! Jo x

Elizabeth's power is off. She wants you to know that the TSFT post will be up as soon as she is back online. I will try to let rest know. Thank you!

Your page for AJJ is lovely, Chris. I love the inky background. I want to know how you do it; so I'l look around your blog. The ghosted flowers are a beautiful effect and just perfect to bring the weeds to the foreground visually.

P.S. Sorry you're in such pain. :-(
When you look around you find that art is a distraction for so many from pain. From something so nasty quite often beauty is found and I love your page. The dandelion clocks are a favourite of mine, as long as they are not in my garden, and I love seeing them in crafting.
Hope you soon feel better.
Hugs, Neet xx
