Daring!

I wasn't feeling well yesterday - so much so, that I let hubby go and do the shopping without me! It is the day we stop for a coffee and a scone halfway round so you can guess I wasn't very happy! I'm pleased to say that I am feeling much better now!
After lunch I went into my craft room! We were having another grey day although it did get a little brighter at times!
I was using my bright Brushos for another project that I will show you another day.
What if?….I thought…and I was away on a colourful adventure!
I added one colour to my page, spritzed it, dried and dabbed it and then continued through a rainbow of colours in the same way until I ended up with this.
I had also been using some stamps so they were inked up and stamped onto white card and fussy cut.

They are AALL and Create stamps designed by Tracy Evans - I'm sure you have seen them before!
I didn't fussy cut the legs - they were stamped in place and the bodies placed on top.
I drew in some ground and added the sentiments from the same set.
Finally I doodled around the edge of the page.

I am entering at

Art Journal Journey - where Erika has her New Year, New Adventure theme.

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Birds Of A Feather

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Add a Sentiment

Stamps and Stencils - On the Bright Side

Craft Stamper Take It make It Challenge - Anything Goes

We are preparing for a short adventure of our own so the next post will be a scheduled one.
I will visit when I can!

Thanks for looking, Chris

It's sad you couldn't join hubby or coffee and scones, which I know means you have been really ill. I'm glad you are feeling a bit better, though.

Those Brushos make the perfect background and they are SO colorful and bright. They will brighten any day.

Clever YOU to stamp the legs, then fit the images over the top. That is something I would never have thought of. I adore this latest entry you shared with us for Art Journal Journey. Thanks for that, dear friend!

I love those pops of color Chris. They make a super background. And adding the black and white birds really works well on the colored background. I don't usually think to do that. :) And I like the quote too. Hope you had a great weekend and a good new week. Thanks for joining us at AJJ. Hugs-Erika

I ADORE everything about this! I love how the color is in the background instead of the forefront and how the birds really pop in their blacks and whites. This is elegant and inspiring and wonderfully whimsical all at once. I thoroughly enjoyed your post and seeing this beauty of a finished product! Thanks for sharing your skills with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
