T stands for..the answer...

Hi everyone, the other day I gave you a teaser with this pic...
..taken from the path to the car park at Little Moreton Hall.
We were quite excited to see it as last time we went there it was pouring with rain.
This is the folly at Mow Cop, built in 1754 for the rich owner of nearby Rode Hall to improve his view. When it was first built in the family would go there for picnics. It is no longer possible to climb up to it but we enjoyed walking on the path around it.

It would have been very peaceful and we had hoped to hear the birds singing, unfortunately, despite there being a large 'No Drones' sign someone decided that he just had to have one hovering around all time we were there...if only I could have found him........
That could have been him up on the right on another rock...I wasn't going to climb up there.....

The view from the road on the way down was lovely too!
After our salad lunch hubby had a cup of tea and I had a coffee.
Both served in pots to go with our china cups and saucers.
I was so focused on getting the hand crafted flowers in the photo that I forgot about pouring my coffee...and don't you just love the little milk bottle?

I was looking through instagram the other day and found some lovely collages by @connieandbeegee and was inspired to try one of my own in the a similar style.
I have had this little goat for a while and he seemed to fit perfectly here and also right for entering at Art Journal Journey and Gill's theme 'Anything with eyes'
With a dictionary page as a background I used my new AALLandcreate poppy set and some bits cut from one of their A4 stamps, a Tim Holtz receipt stamp, a butterfly from an old book and a stem hand drawn by me and dipped into some Distress Oxide ink on my mat.
The red dots had been on my desk for a while and I added them on a whim...then wished I hadn't!

I also have an entry for Moo Mania and More - Butterflies theme - it is one of the sample tags I made for Crafty Individuals.
I stamped one of Jean's lovely butterflies onto some map paper and added one of the images from the lovely books. You may recognise the croissant wrapping - I still have some bits left - croissants now come in plain card! The background is stamped with parts of various Craft Individual stamps.

I haven't forgotten about showing you my France photos, just having a break from them!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Lovely photos, sorry about the drones. Beautiful art, love both the collage and the tag. The tag would be great for Tag Tuesday, too. Never seen milk in such a tiny bottle, so much nicer than plastic. Happy T day, hugs, Valerie

I did an internet search on folly at Mow Cop, and learned it is a National Heritage Site. It's certainly intriguing. I was actually struck by the name.

My friend Cindy, who lives in Canada spent a couple of years in London working. She loves tea and drinks it black. She said MOST Brits use milk and the server often gives it to the customer with milk in it. Now I know. And yes, Chris, I love that little milk container. The flowers on the table would have distracted me, too. Isee YOU get biscuits/cookies with your drinks, too. It's too bad we in the states haven't picked up on that courtesy.

Your art is lovely, too. I really like the journal page and withthe addition of the goat, it is perfect for Gill's theme at Art Journal Journey.

Your tag is beautiful. I take it the croissant wrapping is the wavy background. Ours come in clear plastic bags!

Thanks for sharing Mow Cop, your awesome art, and your tea and coffee with us for T this Tuesday, dear Chris.

Fantastic photos. I love that old ruins building. It's unfortunate some self centered person had to drown out the birds with a drone, despite the sign. (I recently noticed on a (US Connecticut) hiking trail map that one of the rules was "no drones". I guess it's a sign of the times.) The surrounding area looks wonderful. Those tea cups look very nice. I like the small milk bottle. Your art journal page is beautiful. Lovely vintage looking tag, too. Happy T-Day!

That is a too cute milk bottle-I wonder how many get slipped into pockets etc. very nice service for coffee and tea
I loved all the photos-those drones are really annoying aren't they? and there are just too many of them everywhere.
enjoyed all the photos-Happy T wishes Kathy

Lovely photos Chris, those drones should be banned in my opinion, the operators seem to have no respect for other folks property or area.
The little milk bottles seem to be used in many of our cafes here as well.
Your art projects looked super, the goat image was so cute.
Happy T day wishes.

You sure visit some beautiful places Chris. I don't know what it is but ruins are so fascinating to me. And I can relate to the overhead disturbances. When we were in a national park earlier this summer it was helicopters. I love the little crafty flowers on your T table too. And super art. It's always fun to see what you have been up to travel and art wise. Hope it was a great T day. Hugs-Erika

Those are some beautiful ruins! There is something magical and fascinating about ruins that I always love seeing them.
Those China cups are so pretty. Very rarely do I ever get to eat at a restaurant where they serve tea in real china cups. Sounds like the perfect way to enjoy a cuppa tea
Your journal page and tag are lovely and that goat is adorable.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

the ruins are breath-taking. I thought those puffy clouds in the second photo looked like hot air balloons. The hand-crafted flowers are really cute as is that little milk bottle. Your little goat made me smile. I like the way he's eyeing the leaves. I think that will be his snack. Lovely tag, too. Happy T Day

Lovely photos , the views are spectacular but what a shame someone had to spoil the sounds of the countryside with a drone. They should be banned. Love the style of uour journal page and the little goat is cute.

Lovely photos and information, Chris. I think especially so because we can't hear the buzzing drone. Your hand crafted flowers are darling! And, yes the little milk bottle is very cute. I love both your collage pieces. It's fun but challenging to try someone else's style. You did great. The tag is just dreamy.

Happy T-day! Eileen xx

So glad I had some catching up time... I wouldn't have missed this post for the world. Both the collaged page and the tag have shot to the top of my favourite pearshaped creations. Absolutely love the muted chalky background of the tag, and the wonderful script of "butterfly mornings". And the composition of the collaged elements is so perfect - those little dots echoing the blush of the poppy - another glorious butterfly, the leafy stem, and that delightfully silly goat. It makes me very happy as a page.
