Making shapes...and more!

I have one last entry for Craftytrog's Arty Aventures Alison's 'Geometric shapes' theme at Art Journal Journey. I have really enjoyed this theme and wish I had been able to take part more at the beginning of the month!
Once again I have been reducing my scrap piles - the green scalloped circle has been shoved aside for around four years! The other scraps include wrapping paper, magazines, stamped images, leaflets, tissue and right at the bottom a snippet about Kendal, one of my favourite places to visit in the Lake District!

I am also adding this to Tiffany Goff Smith's 'Use it up, fill it up 'challenge! Although the challenge finishes today I got a bit behind so I will still make a few more of these college pages. Besides, I still have a mountain of scraps so I will be making more anyway - I do like making collages(almost as much as stamping!!!!)

Here are a few more you may not have seen...

This uses one of the photographs I printed out for a project a while ago, there are quite a few on the sheet so there will be more one day!

Yesterday, like many others in the UK, we woke up to a covering of snow -the trees outside our windows looked so beautiful so I took some photos with my mobile (cell) phone camera through the windows
 Balcony window
Bedroom side window
 Bedroom main window
Bedroom main window
Craft room
Kitchen window - I am sure this crow was playing as he kept flicking snow from the edge of the roof right along the ridge!

Four hours later I enjoyed watching the snow fall from the trees.

Today the snow is still laying around in the shaded areas but where the sun has been shining the paths are dry.

I hope that those of you still experiencing bad weather are managing to stay warm!

Thanks for looking, Chrisx

I like the way you layer your pieces. I know I saw a bird challenge online somewhere but now can't remember where. Your pieces would be perfect for that. I do like your birds :)

No snow here, but I like seeing the photos from others. This cold is awful, isn't it!

Oh wow - Chris - this 'Use it up, fill it up 'challenge is a hit - if only I had more time I would take part there as well as my piles of scraps don't shrink even though I made already some pages.
I adore your bird pages - and the vintage/golden/neutral page with the lady is amazing as well!
I am looking forward to many other pages from you of this kind. I really love them!
Your snow looked so fresh and light!
We have so many snow here but meanwhile it is all hard and icy .. but also a dream to take walks - all is so beautiful in white and when the sun shines all glistens. Winter has a firm hand on us this year.
Have a happy weekend ahead and thank you very much for all your fantastic support for Art Journal Journey! I so liked your pages! They are unique and so beautiful!
Big hugs,

Susi

Lovely snowy photos, our snow has just arrived tonight, wonder how deep it'll be in the morning.

Your snow photos are fabulous. I wish MY windows were that clean on the outside. Great shots.

I'm still playing catch-up, but I'm really in love with each and every one of your fabulous collages. You seem to find the perfect pieces, colors, and shapes to turn these into mini works of art. So glad you shared with Art Journal Journey, too. I want YOUR scrap bin, dear Chris!!

Love, love, love this post... both the gorgeous journal pages and the snowy photos. The first page makes me so happy - don't really know why, just happy that it does, and I love the one at the end with that wonderful vintage photo. She's a brilliant find. Looking forward to more!
