Getting Dark!!!

Hi everyone! Our first dark evening and I had a bit of a rush to finish a page and take a photo before it got too dark!
I wanted to make another page for Linda's Creature Comforts theme at Art Journal Journey.
One of the good things about the evenings drawing in is we don't need an excuse to sit down and watch a film on TV, which is what we did this evening!
We have recently subscribed to Amazon Prime and today we watched the first film in a series called the Romanoffs which just happened to be set in Paris.I don't know where the next one is set but the series is about fictitious people around the World who think they are descendants of the Russian dynasty!
Of course with the setting I loved it, and the story was quite fun too!!
So, to my journal page, which is a little less fun!
I swiped some paint across the page and then added some random stencilling! All of the stamps are by Crafty Individuals. I stamped the trees, some barbed wire and the landing crow from one set(CI361), and then the crow on the cross(CI500) and coloured them with distress markers. I used grasses and flowers from two other sets and stamped fence posts using a coffee stirrer. The words are from two different TH sets.
Now you can see why, especially this week, I won't be sorry to be snuggled up on the sofa at dusk!!

I would also like to enter at

Thanks for looking, I am on catch up once again but hope to get some blog visits in tomorrow! Chris

You are SO clever with your stamping. The use of a stirrer stick for fence posts is brilliant, and you set the scene perfectly with your birds, too. This was possibly my favorite journal page this month. I loved the composition, the moody atmosphere, and the subject matter. It's a glorious entry for Linda's theme at Art Journal Journey, dear Chris. It's a piece I could look at for hours on end and appreciate. I also really LOVE how it looks like the sun has nearly set in the evening sky. Such beauty in this piece.

Great page Chris. I love the spooky feel, but then again if the sun was shining in your page it would still be beautiful, just more like fall and not so spooky. I can see where people got Halloween from. These dark nights really get people thinking. Maybe some people too much. I should check out that series. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika

You are the queen of the stamps dear Chris! A fantastic scene! Oh yes I have Amazon Prime and Netflix as well... I love to see all the documentaries so much .
You must watch the Loving Vincent film if you haven't seen yet. I is free available at Prime.( at least here I was able to watch it included at Prime) A wonderful film.
Now comes the time of year where we need no excuses for being indoors. The best about wintertime....
Thank you for yet another fab entry linked to Linda's month at Art Journal Journey! You know how much we appreciate your support !
Happy week my friend!
