I have a page for Linda's 'Creature Comforts' theme at Art Journal Journey.
I don't do many pages in my landscape journal and as I had already started a background I could carry on with it.
It was only after I had taken the photo that I decided to look through the few pages and out of all of them only two don't have pink in them!
I had used paint and texture paste through a wild flower stencil for another project but made such a mess the page was abandoned!
Today I added some doodly stamping and used a parchment quote from a little book I came across the other day! I didn't show up very well so pulled it off and stuck the first thing that came to hand - some muslin. The flower (by Brigit Koopsen for Carabelle Studio)had already been stamped on the piece of leftover water colour paper. I scuffed the edges and tucked it in around the muslin! I used a watercolour pencil to create something for the two friends to stand on and then decided to outline them too before using a water brush!
There are two things that I find a comfort here - one is that through my blog (and now Instagram)I have made so many friends who share my love of crafting! Some I have been lucky enough to meet in person, some I may meet in the future and some I will almost certainly never meet....but...we all know each other so well, how could we ever be anything but the best of friends!
The other little bit of comfort is that when my mojo is playing tricks on me I always have started journal pages somewhere that will persuade it back!!
Thanks for looking, Chris

what a really lovely page Chris, along with the thoughts of friendship and comfort. I agree with what you have said here. You have gotten some lovely bits of textures around your page. Well done! Thanks for sharing at AJJ again:)

How lovely, Chris. I followed Alison over to Instagram, although I"m not on there. I've been watching your daily 31 products, and have loved what you are making. You should share them here, too.
Back to your lovely journal page, Chris. It is a real beauty, and I love what you say about internet friendships. I love this one and am proud you are sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey.
Gorgeous page Chris, love the colours. Hugs, Valerie
Its a wonderful page Chris, quite a feminine and delicate look with the soft colours you used.
I can relate to what you said about finding friends here on the internet, our friends in real life are special as well.

A beautiful page, full of rosy warmth - both in the colours and in the thought. I love that background with the teal polka dots - magic! This album is clearly the home of your 'pink phase' - just like Picasso...

What a feminine and beautiful page this is - never had thought the background was one you didn't like at first. Perfection in the end! Oh yes Art Journaling itself is a Creature Comfort! You are so right and finding like-minded people is a blessing!
I am really happy to know you as a kindred spirit and friend!
Thank you for yet another fantastic entry for Linda's theme!
Big hugs and happy start of the weeken for you, Susi
I guess it is your pink journal. Love this page. It has a wonderful vintage feel. And I do like the pink. It is a nice change from the typical fall colors. Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika
Friends and previously started pages! I can see where they both bring comfort. Love this page. :)
