T stands for TIRED!

A very short post tonight - lots of photos of our Wedding Anniversary outing to Chatsworth House and that's about it I'm afraid.
It was a very hot day, although by some of your standards I suppose 25C isn't so hot but we did quite a lot of walking and to put it politely - I am 'rather tired'!!

The photos are pretty much in the order we saw them - not many in the house as I suspect hubby's photos will be better than mine so I may borrow them another time!!

We heard a rush of water and by the time we had walked round that ball was open and then closed up again

This prism shape was revolving to catch the light

This gentleman told me he was born in  1540!

If anyone know what this gorgeous flowers are please do tell me!! They are more like coloured leaves.

Of course I am here for T Stands for Tuesday at Bluebeard and Elizabeth's place so here is my treat for today
After our visit we went around the corner to the Chatsworth Farm Shop and cafe for coffee and cake for me and a cream tea for hubby.
See, he's even pouring you a cup!

I will be round to visit tomorrow as I fear if I carry on to much here I shall fall asleep and bang my head onto the keyboard!!

We are off to the caravan tomorrow afternoon - gardening to get done while the forecast says cooler but dry weather is on the way!!

I thought I just heard a big bang! Oh dear, might have been your head on the keyboard! (Or was it mine... it's nearly 1 am)
I really enjoyed the Chatsworth visit. I really looved the sculptures. All so different and moving or reflecting or spurting water. The flowers are beautiful. And the medieval gentleman playing lute a hoot. (that rhymes unexpectedly) And a cream tea to boot! What an anniversary treat!
Have a great time at the caravan. Looking forward to seeing more photos next time.
Greetings from Spain,
Lisca

That sounds like something I do. I wake when my head hits the keyboard and I have no idea how long I've been asleep.

I adore the visit to Chatsworth. I know it must have been quite the fun anniversary for the two of you, too. I was surprised because at first it looked like you and hubby were the only people there. Then I saw the water sculptures and it seems they were much appreciated by the crowds that gathered near and around them. Just walking the grounds and seeing all those sculptures would have exhausted me, I fear. It looks to be miles and miles of area, not to mention the house.

Cream tea sounds wonderful and the cake looks decadent, too. Thanks for taking us to Chatsworth for your anniversary, and sharing your cake and drinks for T this Tuesday.

Beautiful photos and with all of that walking you should be tired. Hoping you feel rested soon so we can see the inside. Happy T Day!!!

oh I know I would love a visit to Chatsworth and a conversation with the gentleman from 1540!! What a glorious place-and I love the ball with the opening and closing:) Thanks to your hubby for that cuppa tea, happy anniversary and happy T day too!

Wow. Chatsworth house really blew me away. It is really gorgeous. And I find that ball that opens and closes really fascinating. Some of that sculpture art doesn't seem to fit the inside of the house. Is it a sculpture garden? Glad you shared these Chris. Hugs-Erika

I always love visiting (or seeing photos) of Chatsworth and never tire of seeing the silver ball sculpture open and close. Your photos are wonderful. Hope you are resting up today!! Hugs, Anne xx

Fabulous post - loved seeing your photos.
Could those pretty flowers be a Salvia - maybe 'salvia viridis' ?
Hope you've recovered from your wonderful day out... belated anniversary greetings to you also.

Happy Happy Anniversary Chris and Tony ♥ (and Tony thank you for the tea!)
What a lovely place to visit anytime I'm sure.
Interesting combination of old with new sculptures.
That poppy pod looking fountain that opens is WOW along with the sun catching prism!
What could make that gorgeous property even more charming!
An "ancient" lute player of course ;-)
I have some of that blue Salvia/Clary Sage in a pot.
Those are a nice color combo.
In fact I pressed some tops and used them in a recent Nature's Wonders journal spread.
Hope you get some rest...there is no substitute is there.
Happy T Day oxo

So much to see at Chatsworth and a few weeks ago we went that way on the bus and it was full of Chinese who pay for the extra bus to go that way from Sheffield. No wonder you are tired and I hope you slept well ready for another caravan adventure

Love Chrissie xx

Stunning! I'm just in awe of the gardens and the variety of the sculpture and other garden art. And what you've shown of the interior makes me want to book a trip now. Wow!

It's Wednesday here, but days sometimes run together for me and I'll take up your tea offer any day :) Looks like y'all found a delightful place to have a cup.

First of all many Happy wishes for your Anniversary Chris. You had a super day to visit Chatsworth. The photos all are fantastic.
Now here is a bit of a coincidence, we are staying at the Caravan Club site in the Old Walled Garden at ...Chatsworth this week.
As you said the weather is great, we can let ourselves out of the gate and can walk in the grounds. I do agree about the farm shop, great food and so well stocked.
Enjoy the caravan

I have never been to Chatsworth and loved your pictures. What a delightful place to stroll around. I am an avid tee drinker but I have to admit I do not have the foggiest idea what cream tea is but it sure does sound good!
