A touch of gold!

Sometimes blessings are so small you don't realise they are blessings. For several years on the run we used to hear owls across the road at the caravan, I even saw one one evening flying up the path at the side. It's been two years since we last heard them but I still remember how happy the sound made me!

This was the last page I made as part of the Southerngals 5/7 challenge - I think one of my favourite colour combinations of black white and kraft.
Very simply, scraped on some cheap black and white paints, used an AALL and Create stamp along with a Kaiserkraft zigzag and then some scraps(including gold chocolate wrapper) and spattering.

I am of course joining Elizabeth for her Count Your Blessings theme at Art Journal Journey!

I have been making some more five minute pages - I'll show you some when I get home from our short break.

Thanks for looking, Chris

I am SO impressed with your five minute wonders. They still sound not doable in my opinion, but I've watched as you and Alison made them look effortless.

I also like your color combination. Black, white, an owl, and a touch of gold make this page superb. I am super impressed and wonder what happened to the owls, too. Thanks for joining my theme this month at Art Journal Journey. I feel very BLESSED to know YOU, dear Chris.

I woke up last night and couldn't sleep and I heard an owl. We hear them sometimes here. Not sure it was the barred owls that live in the woods here though. I really enjoyed your page and the timing was perfect to remind me of the owls I heard last night. Hugs-Erika

I love your 5 minute page Chris, the collage really highlights the beauty of the Owl. We see and hear Owls all the time where my MIL lives. Only last week we witnessed one cheekily take flight with a neighbours Koi Carp a wonderful sight to see but i'm sure the neighbour was not too pleased.
