It's two, two, two…..

A 'two-fer' today as I haven't shown you my calendar pages for October or my finished ones for September
I had already made the background and stuck on the journalling spots but hadn't decided how to continue….I had in mind Autumn leaves and thought I would wait until I had been to Port Sunny to finish it! So pleased that I did - Paper Artsy have these fab stamps out - designed by Elenazinski Art - I bought one set but so wish I bought both now….maybe later in the month…! You will also have to wait until later in the month to see what these two monsters are going to get up to! At the moment they are standing on a few drawn and coloured early Autumn leaves. The background is Distress inks and then I 'lifted' the colour by using a baby wipe through a stencil.
As you can see September was another busy month - we have enjoyed having some time at home and the flat is looking a little tidier too!

It's also time for joining Elizabeth for a Second look on the 2nd

Quite appropriate as yesterday I was dashing out to pick up two friends as we were headed for The Happy Stampers show at Port Sunlight. Here are Sarah and Helen at the end of the day….

….don't they look happy with their purchases?

This Second Look on the 2nd post is from the end of September 2012

Another page from my journal

Yet another greyish day and I was talking to someone this morning who said there's more to come - Oh! No!
Still tomorrow I'm off to Port Sunlight for a day out and at Happy Stampers with my friend Sarah!
Just thought I'd show you another page from my journal
The image was from Digital Two for Tuesday and it just seemed to fit in with a song in my head. The background was already in my book and I coloured the image with distress markers. Then, strangely, while looking through a quotation book two or three days later I found that this particular part of the lyrics(sung by George Harrison) were originally by no other than Lewis Carrol!
So, lunch and then off to shop - can't leave hubby without some treats tomorrow!
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………...

My art journalling has had some ups and downs over the years but I still enjoy losing myself in experimenting and playing in my journals.

I'll be around with photos of Port Sunlight later in the week and you can see who we met up with!

Thanks for looking, Chris

I don't know why this post became blue - I have put a couple of dotted lines in so that you can see the original post! Chrisx

I would have been by sooner, but my computer is having a meltdown, and apparently so am I. The joys of owning your own home fade when the owner (ME) has to make the repairs.

So glad you got to Port Sunshine and had fun with your friends and the other Helen. Was it a stampers paradise?

Thanks for sharing your two-fer today and especially thanks for bringing back your lovely journal page for a second look on the 2nd, since I've never seen it before.

I'm such a dunce. It's because of you, I feel so, so inadequate sharing my calendar. Yours is always so well done and artfully created, too. Guess that's why I had a brain fart and didn't say anything about these two latest pages!

Your calendar pages look wonderful Chris, I so nearly bought that same set of stamps at Port Sunny but decided to hold out for 'The Professor' set when it comes out in a week or two. Sorry I missed out seeing you there! Love your page too! Blogger is doing some crazy things at the moment, it is probably just that..... she said, not very convincingly ... xx
