T Stands for The Favourite!

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is surviving the bad weather we have seen happening in other parts of the World!

To begin with I have a journal page for Art Journal Journey where Alison's Geometric Shapes theme is making me think about how many shapes go go into the making of my pages - judging by my last post it's more than I thought!!!
A lot of circles here on this page, that was made at the beginning of Tiff's Use it up, fill it up challenge! I used some spattering, Paper Artsy stamps and Grunge paste.

As for 'The Favourite', which was the film we went to see yesterday, Olivia Coleman was brilliant in her portrayal of Queen Ann although I am not sure how accurate the script was - there seems to an over use of a certain word that I will not even be giving a hint to here!
The music ranged from some lovely period music and some very grating  noises!
If you have seen this film already I would be interested in your opinions!

Before we went in we had coffee and shared a muffin at Gino's and I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth here for T Stands For Tuesday!

You can see the old Printworks that houses restaurants and the cinema in the background here! Hubby enjoyed his cappuccino and my Americano was one of the best I have had in Manchester.

The other week while we were at our caravan we visited Sizergh Castle.
There were lots of signs of new life...

...although the lake looks a bit bleak!

I am looking forward to seeing this bed over the next few months....
..and I am hoping I can remember where I stood to get these shots

These plants that have dead heads on them look fascinating..

We didn't see many folk that day although it was not really cold, maybe they were getting ready for attending parties!!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Loving that page Chris. Black and white is such a good choice. ANd although it may not be full of green, that garden walk looks fabulous to me. It is only January. We may get a big snowstorm this weekend so it will be a long time before there's any hint sprouting. :) Hope it was a happy T day. Hugs-Erika

That's a beautiful journal page, Chris. I love the stamping and the beauty of the black and white, as well as the many circles and various dots. Thank you so much for sharing this beauty with us at Art Journal Journey.

WOW, Gino's look like a wonderful place to have a muffin and coffee. T looks very happy, too, although he looks a bit chilly. Nice to see he uses a napkin, too.

I was still impressed with the images around the gardens at Sizergh Castle. The photos are beautiful, and see all kinds of life. Look at that green grass and foliage. Thanks for sharing these photos of Sizergh Castle gardens and your drinks with us for T this Tuesday.

BTW, I've never heard of that movie, so I'm clueless.

I love your journey through the grounds of Sizergh Castle - thanks once more for sharing somewhere so beautiful. Thanks also for letting me know about the film, I have wanted to see it since I saw the trailer on tv but now you have me wondering.....
Love the page - isn't it strange how geometric our world is when we begin to look around - well, at least the world of crafters.
Hugs, Neet xx

What a lovely journal page. I love the black and white theme.
The gardens are very pretty even in the bleak winter. Your photos prove that you can always find something interesting, something of beauty and even budding.
Like many others, I had never heard of the film.Sorry.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Your black and white page is beautiful! I've been admiring the page for a while as t here is so much lovely detail to look at 😁. The cinema sounds fun, I haven't seen this film, it seems to get good reviews though. I enjoyed walking with you and it's amazing to see how many bulbs and plants are trying to flower already 😀. It was cold last week here with some sunshine most days, now it's turned grey and rainy so I'm hibernating today ...lol 😁. Happy T Day wishes! J 😊 x

Beautiful photos and another fabulous page for my theme at AJJ Chris!
I'm not sure that film appeals to me, but I'm excited to see Mary Queen of Scots.

Its a fantastic black and white journal page Chris. I enjoyed seeing the photos of Sizergh in the winter, it will be interesting to see photos in the same areas as the year progresses.
The film is not one I thought I would want to see, so it was good to read your thoughts on it.
Belated T day wishes.

Looks green and snowless--like spring!
I have that movie saved in my Netflix queue for when it becomes available. I do like her as an actress. Now I'm more curious about the movie.

Love your black and white page Chris!! I have read about the movie and thought I'd like it since I do love English and period movies and such but I'll wait til it becomes available to watch at home for free:) The gardens still look beautiful despite the season. And hubby looks quite content with his choice of snack:) happy belated T day!

Great assortment of photos. Sizergh Castle looks like a fantastic place to visit. I can't wait to see your photos when the plants are in bloom later this year.

Super page, Chris. I'm enjoying the Geometric Shapes theme. Like you, I realized they're just all over the place. Every page I can imagine, except the infamous "Polar Bear in a Blizzard" (grin), has Geometric Shapes.

Is it unusual to see spring bulbs popping up this early in Manchester? The Sizergh Castle grounds are lovely.

Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

A lovely journal page, Chris. I love that LP stamp and that you used all black and white.
I bet the castle gardens are stunning in spring. They look beautiful even in winter. Looking forward to seeing more pictures on your return visit.
I am late making it around this week but Happy Belated Tea Day.

Love this dramatic monochromatic page - it has a great historical feel, influenced maybe by your filmgoing... I'm really looking forward to The Favourite. I love a historical film, and I enjoy a film with a slightly twisted angle on life, so I think it should be right up my street! Also looking forward to the Mary Queen of Scots one, like other Alison. Such beautifully landscaped gardens on your day out - thanks for sharing the trip.
