Springing in to the Second on the 2nd!

Oh Yes! It's Spring...have you noticed?
We still have snow....but I do have Spring card to show you!
While I had these Tracy Evans AALL and Create stamps out for my calendar (see here)
I made a little card! At the moment I don't know what it will be used for so I have left space for a sentiment.
These look like little seedlings popping out of the ground and I hope that some of the ones we have seen on our walks haven't been damaged!
I am entering in
Think of Spring theme at Moo Mania and More

Now to the main event today...I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for a Second Look on the 2nd at a post previously shown on this blog!
I tried to find one with weather photos on for around this time of year but came across this on from 2015

Going green!

Last weekend while we we were at our caravan I looked at a couple of really tatty looking coasters and decided to give them a bit of a lift….only thing is forgot to take a photo of the before - they were rather non-descript beige with a couple of squiggly lines down them but they had become a little stained with cup marks.

I dabbed Paper Artsy Fresco Snowflake all over then added a made up colour of (I think) of Sky and Toad Hall. Then Crackle glazed them. When that was dry I rubbed in copper acrylic. Stamped with a script stamp and then with some leaves from a set I bought in France two years ago

The dragonflies were from a magazine set but seemed to look just right with the reedy leaves!
My lovely friend Anne has given more then a makeover to her coasters - take a look here

---------------------------------------
They are still in use.

I love taking part in this second look as it makes me look back through my blog! One of the posts from 2016 had me excited to have lost 2 stone...as I have now lost a little more weight it gives me encouragement to try to reach my goal!!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Your spring inspired card is fabulous, and I don't see any mistakes. You truly put my stamping skills to shame.

That is doubly true with your Second on the 2nd post. When I saw those two coasters together, they look identical. You couldn't have gotten any closer if you'd used a measuring instrument. It's a wonderful second look and I'm thrilled to read you are still losing weight..

Thanks for sharing this second look back with us on the 2nd. I love how you refurbished these two coasters.

Its a beautiful springtime card Chris and its always good to have a card that will be useful for a few occasions.
If you find spring send it up to the NE to chase away this snow.

What a lovely card! The subtle colour and the beautiful stamp. Truly stunning.
Your 2015 post about the coasters is great. Especially that they are still in use. Your stamping is perfect. I wouldn't dare attempt it.
So good to hear you are losing weight. (I am trying)
Have a lovely weekend,
Lisca

Wonderful card Chris. We had more snow last night so I was surprised to see temperature now above zero and it has started to melt.
I can see some bulbs trying to pop up - so fingers crossed spring is on its way at last :) What a week!
Must have been milder when you were down your caravan back in 2015 at same time.
Well done for the weight loss and I hope you achieve your goal.
Have a lovely weekend and keep warm and snug.

The plants are starting to peek out around here to notice it's spring. I love the card and your transformation of the coasters. A great idea for freshening them up when they've gotten stained.
