The Design Team, as ever, have some amazing inspiration so whether it be a Mother's Day card, a tribute to Mothers with a card or a journal page, a special gift for a Mum or any other way you would like to interpret this special theme!
I have made a journal page.
I have used some of my precious papers (including some graphic 45 paper I have had since I first started buying craft supplies in 2009)
The Mother and child image was cut from a book on Motherhood that I found in a charity shop.
The quote is by Napoleon Bonaparte and I used my computer with a typewriter font.
I started my page with some Distress oxides (Vintage Photo and Fired Brick)and lots of spritzing, drying and dabbing, which I then sprinkled with Rusty Car Infusions. I added some random stamping.
The papers were cut and the edges were distressed with my scissors -I have put my Distress tool in a 'safe' place!!!They all had the edges inked with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink!
Now, this is where I get a bit 'nerdy'....
...I arranged the pieces on my page and took some quick photos so I could put the papers on in in my preferred way!
I won't bore you by putting them all on here!
Once I was happy everything was stuck down and I edged the page with some Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.
I hope you will join us at TIOT this time - as usual the challenge runs for 2 Weeks until the 19th March.
Thank you all so much for your support, it really is appreciated and Thank You for looking, Chris

OMG, this is absolutely gorgeous, love it
I felt the eyes widen and could hear the gasps when you wrote *I have used some of my precious papers* hee hee.. You have encapsulated those pretty papers into a beauty of a time piece. This is a real work of art Chris that you will enjoy looking at time after time.
Stunning creation, Thank you for sharing.

Wow, those Graphic 45 papers are exquisite and you created such a stunning page with them -I love it! I'll let you into a secret, I always take a photo when placing things on the page...does that mean I'm nerdy too ...lol 😉. Happy Tuesday and have a wonderful week! J 😊
It is a gorgeous page Chris, I love how you assembled all the items you wanted to add and took the photo, I've also done this on occasion as well.
It is a lovely quote you used as well.

Beautiful journal page, I have great problems cutting up Graphics 45 paper, too. You were very brave. I just dragged my weary bum home after art group so I'm off to put my feet up now. Hugs, Valerie
A beautiful page Christ and I love the sentiment you used. I must admit, I've always had trouble cutting into the G45 papers, but why not as they're all so beautiful and should be used!

This is a gorgeous entry, Chris. Very, very impressive. As I told Jo, I have trouble with the word “MUM” because that word means “silent” to us in the states. We call our mothers MOM. However, that is one incredibly feminine, romantic, and beautiful tribute to any mother!
Your lovely page justifies your use of the gorgeous G45 papers, beautiful mother and child image too

Absolutely adorable - your layering is excellent Chris! Gorgeous!
Gorgeous page Chris! Xxx
What a beautiful collage for a wonderful occasion! I love the background with the script and damask patterns, very subtle yet interesting. The quote is just fabulous, how very true is that! Hope all is well with you Chris, sending lots of Canadian hugs your way (Canadian hugs are really big) lol. :)
I also like to take a photo of my desired layout then take everything off and start gluing in place. Your journaling is amazing Chris and this page and it’s sentiment is beautiful in every way.
