Patience!

Hi everyone, another page today for Art Journal Journey, I am pleased that you are enjoying the challenge. The theme is 'If you go down to the woods'

This page started by putting ink on my mat, spritzing and smooshing the page over the mat.
The wolf was one I bought when we went to Edinburgh - one of Stamper Grove's own stamps - I was already getting ideas!
The trees are from a number of different sets.
I added paint to the sky to give a more sinister look- have you ever read any of the original fairy tales? Some are quite gruesome!

As you can see, although the wolf hasn't……yet….…, Red Riding Hood is heading his way through the woods into the little glade where the wolf has stopped to plan his day! I think we know the way this is going to turn!

We had a lovely weekend at our caravan - it seems that the snow has been worse here than up North!!
We managed to get up to Kendal to see Pandy (her blog is here) of The Kitten and the Goat - the lovely craft shop in the New Shambles - I got to hear all about Stitches and see some of her new stock - lovely sewing kits among other things! I think I could be treating my self sometime soon!!
I did buy some new inks this time!

Our eldest grandson stayed with us over Saturday afternoon to Sunday  - it was great to hear about school, usually when we go over during the week he has silent moments when he gets home from school and then onto the X-box!! We watched Independence Day which he had brought with him - I had forgotten what a good film it is!!

So, we are home again and had a dash to get our new specs today before my Choose To Change class. I have lost 2 stone since January 2015…yay!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Love the page Chris, I do wonder what the wolf has in mind, its a fantastic stamp. I have to agree with you about the original Fairy Tales some were like horror stories.

This is incredible, Chris. You are one creative stamper. I always thought fairy tales were for children, then about a year ago, I read a story about how gruesome many of them were. Seems we have sanitized them over the centuries, but what I read left me in shock. So I'm glad the wolf is alone in the forest tonight, and Red Riding Hood is safe for another day at least!

Not sure what a stone is, but congrats on losing them. Yes, I know it's weight, I just don't know what that translates to on a set of scales.

Your spread is wonderful and really creates a scary mood. I want to grab the time to participate in this months theme. I sure would like to go to Edinburgh to buy some stamps. Lord only know how much I love that city!!!!
