T stands for The new mug and Tim's September tag

I am all ready to join the T gang for T stands for Tuesday over at Elizabeths's blog but first I will show you my tag for Tim's 12 tags of 2015 - September.
I am still hanging on to the end of the year but honestly I sometimes find it too much of a challenge! I don't have all the products  most times and although substituting is okay I get frustrated that I don't always get the required results. So, I'm not giving up ….yet, but it has stopped being fun for me and surely that is the point of crafting at my age!!!
Right - rant over, and to be fair I am quite pleased with this month's tag
It is destined to become a card topper some time soon!
I love the shimmer,
and I love the dimension of the bird...
…but it is nothing like the one that Tim made although I have used the same techniques - see Tim's here.
I have made several substitutes of course!!
Now, my new mug…as I have mentioned before, we have one of those fancy coffee machines at our caravan(bought at a bargain price in the January sales!!)Most drinks fit into my ordinary mugs or some glass ones we bought(also in a sale..love bargain!!)This new one is a much better size for my Latte and it was all alone on a bargain shelf in the Supermarket!
I had been trying to finish off my France journal sitting on the couch when hubby brought me this, so just pushed it back on the coffee table! I hope it will be ready to show you soon!

We are having a little while longer at home this time, we have few things to deal with AND it's Happy Stampers at Port Sunlight on Saturday(will I see you there?) I am hoping to catch up with all your blogs and have some crafty time too!

Thanks for looking, Chris

That tag: the colour, the texture, the bird, the theme - amazing. Having this talent for beauty is a real gift. Happy T-Day!

Lovely tag and mug, happy T day. I think I have visited you 3 times today, that's enough!

Oh, it should definitely be fun - and I'm sure Tim himself would be the first to say that it's not about copying his but about taking inspiration and taking flight, and that you have absolutely done with this gorgeous version. Love your little bird and the shimmer and the vivid pink against that wonderful earthy background is amazing.

Yummy looking coffee too!

Great take on Tim's tag, Chris! I love the image you've used, and the colours are fantastic.

Oh Chris, I kinda hear you with the tags, I guess that's why I haven't done one in awhile. But Alison is right, it should be about taking inspiration from his techniques and finding your own path, so do whatever it is that keeps you smiling in art, that's when you'll shine the brightest too!! I adore the dreamy colours on your tag, those purple/lilac tones are very calming and how genius is the way you've second the word band...
Huge hugs
Georgie xx

That latte' looks yummy, and your tag is fabulous! I really need to make some cards as I've used up all the ones I had on hand...and maybe a tag...or two, would be just the thing. thanks for the inspiration, and happy T day!

I can't remember the last time I did one of Tim's tags, though I always look at them! (and to think when he used to do them every day at Christmas!) Your version is fabulous, Chris, but you're right it should be fun!

A fantastic take on the original Chris and I just love how you have improvised and have given it your own in-print so to speak.... I think that's what this challenge is all about, learning new things and then going with them just wherever it takes you....
You cuppa looks wonderful too, just make sure there won't be any spills on your journal, - we want to see that soon!!

What a cool mug! I've never seen anything like it, and I would've snatched it up in a heartbeat if I'd seen it :) Happy T Day

Your tag is lovely and I like the shimmer too. What a cute little bird with his flappy wings. Your coffee looks delicious - you really know how to live. What a super cup. Waiting to see your journal soon. Barbxx

Your tag is beautiful. I agree, the shimmer is great. Your latte looks like you're in a posh cafe. It's making me thirsty for coffee. I'd better not as it is already late at night and I should be going to sleep, not drink coffee.
Have a good week,
Lisca

I can definitely relate to the feeling. It was the same one I had when I made the altered playing cards and the gal kept pushing products I didn't own, and probably NEVER WILL. I didn't have fun from about the third week I played, but I stuck with it, and I know you will stay with the tags, too. After all, you only have three more to make and you can end the year on a high note.

Your new mug is awesomely awesome. It is not just pretty, but it holds a really lovely bit of latte, too. Thanks for sharing both your tag and your new mug with us (filled with coffee, of course) for T this Tuesday.

It's difficult to make things that look like Tim's even when you have all the right supplies--LOL! I love your shimmery bird. Coffee looks good and the cup is pretty fancy in my book. Happy T-Day! :)

OOOOOH I love that new latte mug/cup. Such an interesting design.
I think your tag is fantastic, sorry to hear the fun is slipping away. That is why I didn't finish J52 this year, my heart just wasn't in it anymore, and there are just tooooo many other fun things to do.
Belated T-day wishes.......I'm way later than you were....LOL

Hey Chris, I'm sorry I took so long to answer your question about the size of my back yard, but I have not been on the internet since Tuesday. Here are a couple of photos of the back yard in late August. You have to scroll down almost to the end to see the photos, though. To answer your question, the back yard is about the same size as the front, except I have a LOT more to mow: http://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2015/08/my-august-herb-garden-flower-bed-and.html
