Hi everyone, our new theme at Try It On Tuesday is all about the Colours of Autumn!
The Design Team have really excelled themselves this time with all the glories of Autumn.
I was lucky enough to get a stamp that made me think of Autumn days straight away.
I have always had a fascination for barns, garden sheds, stables ....anywhere connected with the storage of farm or gardening equipment but my dream has always been to visit a barn of the style of barns found in the USA.
The stamp has one tall tree in front of the barn but with a bit of masking I have added it again on the right as well as at the side of the barn.
This is my idea of an ideal Autumn - coloured leaves blowing onto the ground right in front of my barn.
Unfortunately the frost arrived this morning and a lot more leaves are just falling from the trees
We have seen our fair share of Autumn colours already this year at Kew Gardens and at Dunham Massey - both featured earlier in my blog but I still dream of visiting New England in the Autumn...or should I say Fall?
I am entering this at
Art Journal Journey, for Eileen's Dreams or Wishes theme.

Thanks for looking, Chris

A beautiful autumn scene Chris, I can picture walking up to the barn, it looks so peaceful and welcoming in a rustic sort of way.

Absolutely wonderful... I should love to be walking up that driveway right now. I completely agree about barns and sheds and stables - I have whole Pinterest boards of them! The colours here are simply gorgeous, and what a brilliantly detailed image.

It's such a beautiful autumnal scene and reminds me of my travels to America - yay! I just love the autumnal colours and the wording that you chose is perfect too 😀. Thanks for the inspiration and wishing you a wonderful week! Hugs, Jo x
A wonderful page, Chris
Chris, that looks just like a dream location to me! You are welcome in Texas anytime. We have those barns here and in East Texas north of me, colorful changing leaves, too. It's a stunning page, your masking is spot on, pretty sky, love everything about it! xoxo
Beautiful Autumn scene Chris! Xxx
OMGosh, Chris. That's a STAMP? I thought it might be a napkin. You are TRULY the queen of stamping. I simply adore this. It is awesome. Thanks, too, for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey using Eileen's theme, too. You did a GREAT job of masking, too.
Beautiful, Chris - and Dunham Massey is what came to mind when I first saw it...that little building up on the right somewhere... it's 6 years since i was there, so my memory of it isn't too vivid, but I fell in love with that little building. Great use of masking and lovely imagery.
