2,2,2!

I didn't get around to completing my November calendar journal page until it was dark yesterday so decided to take a photograph today before we went about our chores, shopping, trip to the tip and picking up some petrol...except that our plans were foiled by finding our car had a flat tyre and there was a large screw embedded in the treads.
Hubby used a foot pump and we made our way to the tyre place - with a queue of about six in front of us! Fortunately there is a small cafe nearby so we went to wait there instead of the crowded waiting room! This added about an hour on our trip but also sent us on different route which meant we got in a traffic queue!

Not to worry though - we got back for a late lunch and I headed to my craft room, trying to get something else completed before dark!!
That done hubby made us a coffee and while we were sitting on the sofa he discovered that the first Iron Man film was on - so here I am having sat and watched the film to the end! It is one of my favourite of the Marvel series.
Here is my new Journal page

I got the lines idea from seeing a card by Petra de Kok on Instagram and just tweaked it a little for this page. The pears are from an old set by Stamp in the Hand.
I would like to enter at Art Journal Journey for Rike's new theme 'Fruit and Veggies'
Here is last month's all filled in.
I also have a Second on the 2nd post for Bleubeard and Elizabeth's monthly trip to past.
This is from 29th October 2012 the year we moved into our apartment (in August and foolishly, into a new caravan in the December) and was entitled - I don't but my Granddaughter does!
         ----------------------------------------------
Halloween that is! It's been a while since I posted but a lot has been going on! Such as ...meeting up with Ann and Pat in Leeds!(great to meet up and spend money on crafty things as well),going to see the extremely talented Lindsay Mason demonstrate at Cardcraft in Lancaster(you should have seen what she was making-incredible baubles, which I hope she does a tutorial for on her blog-hint!hint!), spending time with family at our caravan(and out and about), going to appointments(my sugar level is up :( and needs monitoring)and trying to unpack more of those bloomin' boxes!
So...some of the goodies I bought in Leeds went to the caravan to be used by my grandchildren - only thing is Scrabble and technology won as far as my grandson is concerned!
What did we make? Well, a few weeks ago I bought a set of Artistic Stamper jars and decided they would make super spooky halloween bunting!
Emily is becoming quite a stamping expert, she didn't think we had enough jars so just set out to stamp some more, when I told her there wouldn't be enough room on the paper she surprised me by saying she had already measured up and that she could get four more!
You may be able to see that we used an assortment of stickers, stamps and spooky colours, she was able to pick out parts of stamps(found a small TH atc stamp with a small skull on it,and she loves Lindsay's 'Henpecked and stitched up by the cat' from her 'Off The Wall' range)) by using distress markers.
We managed to make our bunting go the whole length of the caravan living room

and then scoop it up ready to take home...
...and balance a pound coin at the same time!!

Of course I didn't keep her slaving all the time - we went off to South Lakes Zoo and she got to feed some penguins
We also went on a visit to Farfield Mill near Sedburgh where she caught the weaving bug(the photos are on my phone - when I get them on to the computer I will show you pics)
Ok, enough of showing off my little treasure! I'll leave you with this picture of a wonderful sunset we had while up North!

                     -----------------------
Now for two little pieces of art - I am going to try to keep up with Art Every Day Month and I'm also taking part in an Instagram challenge 30 days of ATStamps hosted by Carabelle Studio stamps so I hope these will be OK for the first two days of AEDM.
Day 1 the prompt was Animals
Day 2 the prompt was Characters

Thanks for looking, Chris

I'm running SO far behind. Trying to catch up is harder than I anticipated. WOW, you have packed a LOT into this post, dear. First, I'm glad to see you posted at Art Journal Journey with your latest calendar pages. This is amazing. And of course you do SO many interesting things each month, it's hard to keep up with you. Thanks, too, for sharing November's calendar using Rike's theme at Art Journal Journey, too.

Sorry to read about the tire (tyre). Sometimes things go awry, but you at least made it home safely.

I didn't know you back in 2012, so I'm glad you chose this as your second look. It was obviously a first look for me. You must be proud of that granddaughter. Personally, I think she's a chip off your block. This was SO fun to read. She's adorable, and looks like she had fun and didn't slave in the least. Thank you beyond belief for sharing this as your second look on the 2nd. It's also good to see you at AEDM, too.

Love your "pear-shaped" November page... I'm feeling a little stumped by the idea of fruit and vegetables at the moment, but I'm sure light will dawn at some point during the month. A great trip down memory lane to your earliest days in the caravan, and I love your little postage stamp artworks. Good luck with the challenge - I'll be cheering from the sidelines (no way I'm going to manage every day in November!).

What a shame about the tire :( I'm glad you could get it fixed and that you found a pleasant place to wait. We like Iron Man, too. It's always a fun one to watch :)

Despite the long detour to get back home, you created a great November calendar page, Chris. I love the lines over a soft watercolor (?) background.

I really enjoyed your 2nd on the 2nd post, since I wasn't following you way beck then. Emily was delightful.
