A Second Look (at France) on the 2nd

I am joining Bluebeard and Elizabeth for a Second Look On The 2nd.

I am scheduling this post as we are celebrating a couple of Family Birthdays today

Two years ago we visited France and went to Troyes, Orleans, Tours and had a lovely week with my SIL and BIL, finishing off wth a few days in Paris.
I am getting in the mood for another trip to some different places in France and once again we will be staying with my dear SIL!

This was my post from 1st September 2015
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I have some photos from our France trip - some of the more unusual views!

I very nearly bought one of these
Lovely reflections
Love this curtain fabric

There were other coloured trees in this square too

I loved this No Entry sign by the Kebab shop in Orleans!!
Two exhibits from an exhibition of containers in Tours Cathedral

A bride on her way to her wedding

The above three were in shop windows

…and because we are here for T

Ladies Tea and Gentlemans coffee - in a shop window in Orleans.

The shop was shut and we never went that way again!I hope this will do in the absence of my own drink - back to the painting now!!

              —————————————————————————————————
I am sure some of you will remember these so please forgive my excitement!

Meanwhile we have quite a lot to do to get ready!

Thanks for looking, Chrisx

I saw you had scheduled your post, so added it. Then I noticed you had done that, probably as I was reading your post. Luckily, I was able to delete it. Gotta love that about Inlinkz.

Golly how I love those birds. They are fabulous. I also might have been tempted to buy a sardine tin just for the vintage imagery and the tin itself.

You and I certainly think alike on that curtain fabric. I would have wanted it for journal covers, though (grin).

I love that you included the Ladies Tea and Gentlemen's Coffee. Although I certainly remember that post, I am as excited for you as you are, I'm sure. I hope you and T will find a way to update us during your trip. After all, I live vicariously! And I see you photobombed yourself, too.

Thanks for sharing this second look on the 2nd with us. I enjoyed seeing it again, because I truly didn't remember the awesome art, only the tea and coffee.

Birthday greetings to the Birthday People! Thanks for the armchair tour of France. So fun to see faraway places. i loved the bird and music. And was stunned how arty the sardine tins are. Not a fan of the fish, but the tins are so cool. Have a great weekend!

What an interesting collection of photos. I didn't know you then so it's cool to see these views. ANd lucky you to be heading back to France again soon. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

No, Chris, I don't remember these because I'm a rather new member of this lovely ladies' group. They're wonderful photos! I've never been to France but I'm getting a yearning feeling ;-) I don't think I could have walked away from that shop window without the little guy in the box. Of course, I have no idea what the price was, but I love him <3

Thanks or sharing this 2nd on the 2nd.
