…and it's 1,2,2…...

First, it's 1 tag - for Tag Tuesday's 'The Beach' theme chosen by Joan.
I had a load of these sea side themed die cut images that I intended to use with my GD at the caravan - I also had a tag that had been inked with Distress ink and spritzed to give a sandy look. I had taken some mop up paper towel with me so I tore some off as a background! The words are from a Hunkydory set. When I got home these ribbons were mixed wth some others on my desk…as if they had been waiting for me!
Second is a page I made for Art Journal Journey and Moo Mania and more!
Elizabeth's theme at AJJ is 'Summertime Love' and I was inspired by a post I saw on Elizabeths blog. I used a circular sponge to pick up and overlap distress ink colours before cutting it out.
I stamped the bicycle and added some doodling and some of the words of the Queen song! It's a long time since I rode my bike but it may get a dusting this Summer!
The theme at Moo Mania and More is Wheels
The final 2 is a Second Look On The Second where I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth in sharing something you may or may not have seen depending on how long you have been visiting my blog.

My post is from July 2013
-------------------------------------------------------------
Wow! What a match that one was - at last we have a Wimbledon champion! That last game was a real edge of the seat one! Hurray for Andy Murray!
I've been playing with my little travel journal, not many more pages now - I've mainly been adding photos!

We've been sticking to our tasks of gardening and painting this week, helped by the lovely weather. Both garden and decking are looking a lot better! Unfortunately the weather has also produced a casualty - hubby was painting the other day and I was inside when a sudden crashing noise alerted us to a tree across the road that suddenly - no breeze - fell over!

As you can see it very nearly hit a car that was parked in it's shade - fortunately the driver wasn't in the car but another car that was passing was given a fright! The tree was wrapped pretty well with ivy and I guess that's what caused it's demise!
———————————————————————————————
The pages were from the journal I made on our first visit to my SIL's near Poitiers.

Now we home with a reasonable connection I and hoping to have little catch up!

Thanks for looking! Chris

Goodness Chris. I'm the host and am late to the party. Your tag is fabulous. I like the "cute" appearance of the sand castle. I found a few die cuts similar to those. Although they are not my style, I plan to work them in somehow this month.

You didn't read incorrectly, dear. I am on a heart kick, but that doesn't mean YOU have to be. As long as the theme at AJJ deals with summertime, there will be more than enough love to go around. Of course, you can expect to see lots of hearts from me this month, but it's just my way of getting rid of all of them! And of course, your bicycle and Queen song are perfect. I'll be singing it for hours now!

I really enjoyed your second look this month. I'd never seen it before, so it was fun to see how different your art is now as opposed to then. I was impressed with the pages you shared, and they made great journal entries, too. What a close call about that car, too.

Thanks for joining AJJ and sharing your second look on the 2nd this month.

Wow, that person was lucky not be get their whole car squashed by the falling tree. I love both your tag and your bicycle page. They're both so much fun. All those colors for the bike page makes it summery and cheery. And I enjoyed seeing your journal as I didn't see it the first time round so its nice to see it now. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika

Love your summery tag and page Chris... funnily enough as I comment rain has just stopped play at Wimbledon with Andy Murray playing.
Wow that tree falling could have been very nasty - lucky it didn't do any serious damage.
